I am happy that they are playing Maxwell, he is a young kid that has a lot of promise in the future.

As for Lonie, I think he has taken a step back in his footy career. Egan hasn't yet proved himself at VFL level, so he would want to put in a big game for Williamstown this week.

Could have dumped a few more players. Dont really understand what they are trying to achieve. At least Hawthorn are trying to find some new players, a pity Collingwood isnt.

Re Williams.

At least he isn't turning the ball over.

I think he's the only one yet that still hasn't given away a clanger.

Is that because its really, really hard not to hit a target who is 2 metres away and you are handballing it to them under absolutely no pressure?

I reckon the only reason for keeping Williams in, is that he provides a larger forward option. With Fraser out and Tommy never in, we don't have much in this regard.

Apparantly Lonie hasn't got the talent to play there...not that we'd know or anything!

I sense your obvious sarcastic reply but on the serious side, how many times have I seen our players handball behind the running player so far this year?

Lonie out is a disgrace. We should start playing him to his strengths, an attacking half back/winger who can kick long goals. Lets start using his skills to display something positive, not turn him into an average key position defender. Maxwell didn't do much for Willy last week, (though he wasn't the lone ranger), and is a good ordinary player at best.

Maxwell is a better AFL player than a VFL player. He seems to work well with a team of AFL level cohesion.

the reason why he hasnt had a clanger is because he cant get the thing in the first place you need to have the ball to have a clanger

God it makes me sick to see us going in as underdogs against a Carlton side of that (lack of) quality.

Confidence is at an all time low in the side at the moment, but I have a feeling we'll have a crack this week.
