Don't think there were too many injuries at all from the game. Spider has abit of hamstring soreness, so I think he'd be the only one who'd be rested.
I'd bring Bailey in for Everitt. Adelaide have inexperienced ruckman (Meeson and Maric) and probably a good way to ease him into ruckman his same age, with only one more year experience than him. Everitt pretty much didn't play against Richmond anyway, so we are really gaining a player if you look at it like that.
Birchall should get a chance in front of his home state IMO. Has been training well and deserves a shot. Big ask against Adelaide, but a good test to see where he and we are at. Ries to miss out on the larger ground. Birchall sounds like a guy who likes to run and kick the ball so York Park would suit that kinda play. Also on the size of the ground ... it should suit Buddy's style as well.
Gilham perhaps needs to get an opportunity in defence. Not sure who for, but would like to see him get a go. Osborne had a shocker so maybe he needs a week off, didn't really have a position on the weekend, and unless we drop Miller and try Ozzie as the small forward (which I think may a good idea for Ozzie at the moment) Gilham offers more height in the backline. Port supporters rate him as a defender when used as a third tall, just not enough weight for a key position player. Apparently very good season at sanfl level, so I reckon nows a good time to see if he's up to it against quality opposition.
So In: Birchall, Bailey, Gilham
Out: Everitt (didn't play the game anyway) Ries, Osborne
On Ozzie, I still rate him, but didn't think the game acceptable from someone of his experience. Needs a bit of backhand to get him on his game.
