Nice team:thumbsu:

Glad to see some changes been made that should of been made weeks back.

Would like to see us line up like this:

B - O'Brien Presti Toovey
HB - Shaw Reid Goldsack
C - Thomas Swan Johnson
HF - Didak Cloke Beams
F - Dick Dawes Davis
R - Jolly Ball Pendlebury
INT - Wellingham Lockyer Brown Sidebottom

Pretty close to our best team IMO.

Maxwell and Medhurst will be back in.

Don't like the idea of leaving players of this quality out of the team- irrespective of how form. Let them play into form. Still, the rest are valid and expected changes, so hopefully yhe boys get the job done on the weekend.

I am guessing Meds still carrying something fitness wise. I am hoping he is given the week of completly if that's the case.

Either way I just can't agree with the above logic for us this year (or over the next couple either) We are a strong enough team with good enough depth to not have to carry players who are out of form / not contributing. Whether you think Medders was not contributing or not is another issue (I don't think he was too bad)

Either way I think a selection panel that picks based on the performances over the last month or fortnight based on key indicators for that role is the way to go. Put the pressure on players to meet the standard to keep their spots else find themselves having to fight there way back into the side. Alternatively sometime to find form in the 2's could be handy for a guy who is struggling to find touch.

Medhurst has been terrible the last two games and deffs deserved to go dropped. He has been very poor the last two years.

Great changes IMHO.

Medhurst needs to get some fitness and will be an instant inclusion as soon as he regains form and fitness.

Great to see the sack in. Hope he does well.

And my man Dawes is in. Hopefully he can provide a target in the forward 50 and have a great game.

Haven't I already told you, or some other name stealer like you, that he is MyMan not yours!!

Gary Rohan is no Slouch Those

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but when Rohan has played the commentators (Dwayne Russell most noticably) always seem to refer to him as "Gary Rohan" not "Rohan".... lots of Gary Rohan this, Gary Rohan that... sometimes I wasn't sure if they were commentating on the footy or an equestrian event.

It still helps to have big targets in the wet and Dawes is good for a big man below his knees.

And Dick is good for a little man above his knees, so we should be well served.

Won't say anything about his ability with big targets in the wet, although he did stick it betwen the two big uprights four times last week iirc.

Happy enough that MacAffer has flown up, particularly as he can always fly back and play VFL on Sunday if not required. It's good having Barham and Fraser as the other emergencies too, as our other developing guys don't want to miss out on playing for a 3-week spell if they're going up as emergencies.
