Test Match Cricket

As shown by this world cup, Test cricket completely rules over ODI matches and us Aussies have to wait till bloody november for a test. Will be a fair bit of anticipation i'd assume. I'd find cricket much more exciting with a young team in trying to hold our #1 position. Hayden and Gilly really should end up retiring this next summer if not before, they have nothing more to prove. Would you find it more exciting with team without Gilly Haydos and McGill?

Why should they retire if they are still scoring runs and enjoying it? I don't think Warne should have gone til 2009 either. It's a long retirement and you never again reach the pinnacle of doing something you are great at in the heat of international competition.

If I were haydo or Gilly I'd be dragged screaming out of the team.

Rubbish, we're only scheduled to play Zim in one dayers as a warm-up to the 20/20 WC in SA in September. Zim doesn't play tests against anyone until they are reinstated which is pending them fulfilling certain criteria. Given that 2 of their up and coming players have defected to us and England following the WC, they will struggle to meet their conditions.
