Your lot were owned half way thru the last qtr Rd19, when geelong gave up, your lot were owned after that match when mark Robinson reported that geelong players were stunned in the rooms at how they didn't have a clue who they were meant to be playing on. Your lot were owned the minute your hypocritical coach started bleating about how Collingwood had to be worried about the sheila's they had knocked off in Rd 19 prior to the Prelim when it was all a ruse to gee up his own deflated players. Your lot were owned the minute they bounced the ball in the prelim and were demolished from that time on by a much younger, faster, better organised outfit.

Owned in such a very short amount of time.

I have never denied Geelong's greatness, that and the fact plenty were on this forum shoving it down our throats, most pointedly at Collingwood supporters and rightly so.

But the wheel turns and Geelong's demise was always going to be relished, given the barbs thrown our way. And it is all the more delicious that we are the ones to put our feet on your collective throats.

Its the circle of life and it will happen to us in 12 mnths, 2 years, 3 years, whenever, but it will happen. You make the most of it when you are at the top, just as your lot did.

Now, as you descend into the dark abyss of champions leaving and hypocritical coaches leaving parting gifts like giving geriatrics one more year, you can gnash your teeth over being bullied out of the corridor by Hawthorn that one fateful day in 2008, which might have made your descent all that more bearable!!!

Sad way to end his career with his body failing him. I always enjoyed watching him play. His tough as nails approach allowed his more talented teammates (Ablett, Chapman etc) to shine. There aren't too many players to play in 2 flags in a little over 100 games.

You didn't really answer my question there. Do you know why this has hit you so hard? Is this just 7 years of reading Bigfooty, storing up all those horrible things people posted, and now you're determined to give it all back?

Even through 3 pretty good years for Geelong, close to 90 games in a row where they were favourites I believe, I never once saw a Cats supporter with a large font signature either proclaiming their greatness, or attempting to denigrate an opponent. Why is that do you think? Many would consider that a little petty, but good on you for ignoring normal convention.

But I do have memories of the 17th of Sept 2010 and I would like to thank all those geelong supporters who, whilst shell shocked still saw fit to depart the MCG in the 3rd term so it made exiting the car park far easier after the game. One might have thought they'd stick around to support their team to the bitter end, but I guess they suffer from the 'essendon' syndrome of the early 2000's when they thought they were born to rule, as it turned out, they were born to rue.
