i can't believe noone has mentioned Chappy's goal to win 2011 GF...
Never saw anyone kick a goal from this spot at Football Park....

Great! Living in USA then and missed that ugly port finals era. Came back in time though, 2004Johnny Barker, 4th quarter of the 2001 Semi Final - Hawthorn def Port Adelaide by 3 points![]()
Nick Davis vs Geelong is THE goal of the modern era for me. It'll be the one I remember above all others, possibly a bit flukey but he was playing the quarter of his life and it literally diverted the whole course of the season. As good as Chapman's and Aka's sealers were, both Geelong and Brisbane still probably win the flag. Davis's goal turned Sydney from being knocked out of finals (last kick of the game?) to breaking a massive premiership drought.Hawkins vs Hawthorn in 2012.
Nick Davis vs Geelong in 2005.

In terms of a "moment" this one stands outIf you posted all of Ablett's "great" goals we're gonna be here a very long time watching them all......
haha, i did too.Clearly not memorable for you.
I can't believe it took so long to mention and worse still you got the wrong year.
It's the biggest goal in history.
Wells' Jackie Chan.Carey from the pocket or Blights Torp.
Both OP and first poster failed to mention Franklin's two goals against the Bombers. You know the goals. You've both failed

The Zaharakis goal was the first goal that came into mind when I saw this thread. And the fact that it was the ANZAC Day game against Collingwood must have made that goal a lot sweeterJade can't believe that didn't even cross my mind.
That was an awesome goal. Essendon really know how to thrill their supporters when they are up and about with wins and goals like thatHooker against the Hawks last year.
Certainly our most memorable one in recent years.

Yeah, it was the last kick of the game. Would have been <5 seconds left when it hit his boot.Nick Davis vs Geelong is THE goal of the modern era for me.
