This is cool. Goals that I'd not seen before and all of them are pearlers.

This passage and goal stand out to me as THE greatest. The Scarlett toe-poke resulted in THE goal that broke a deadlock in the dying moments of the 2009 GF, giving Geelong the lead and the WIN.

Hawkins vs Hawthorn in 2012.

Nick Davis vs Geelong in 2005.
Nick Davis vs Geelong is THE goal of the modern era for me. It'll be the one I remember above all others, possibly a bit flukey but he was playing the quarter of his life and it literally diverted the whole course of the season. As good as Chapman's and Aka's sealers were, both Geelong and Brisbane still probably win the flag. Davis's goal turned Sydney from being knocked out of finals (last kick of the game?) to breaking a massive premiership drought.

I remember listening to 3aw as it was happening. Rex being a Geelong man was so gutted.

If you posted all of Ablett's "great" goals we're gonna be here a very long time watching them all......
In terms of a "moment" this one stands out

Poor Mick.

But in terms of Ablett's superhuman abilities, for me the goal in '89 were he leaps over the ruckmen in the forward pocket sums him up. 55 secs in:

Clearly not memorable for you.
I can't believe it took so long to mention and worse still you got the wrong year.
It's the biggest goal in history.
haha, i did too.

definitely the first goal that came to mind

Carey from the pocket or Blights Torp.
Wells' Jackie Chan.
Larkin's GOTY vs WC
The first Majak one for Werribee running from half back.
LT's inside-out torp from the boundary

Manassa in the '77 replay
Ablett Snr in the '94 PF
Thirteeeeeen :cry::cry:
Hodge in last year's GF

Jade can't believe that didn't even cross my mind.
The Zaharakis goal was the first goal that came into mind when I saw this thread. And the fact that it was the ANZAC Day game against Collingwood must have made that goal a lot sweeter

Hooker against the Hawks last year.

Certainly our most memorable one in recent years.
That was an awesome goal. Essendon really know how to thrill their supporters when they are up and about with wins and goals like that

For Richmond, that lying down goal from Cotchin against Sydney last year was awesome. And Shane Edwards's goal against GWS in either last year's game at the G, or one of the games we played against them the year before

Yeah, it was the last kick of the game. Would have been <5 seconds left when it hit his boot.
