The Chris Judd goal in the 2013 final vs Richmond. It was a goal for the senses.

40,000 Carlton supporters screaming in delight.......55,000 Richmond supporters soiling themselves.

I think they had soiled themselves before the first bounce

Tom Hawkins hitting the post in the 09 grand final. Biggest umpiring mistake in a grand final.
Equalled or nullified by St Kilda getting a free kick on the siren 5 metres out from goal because Milburn remonstrated with the goal umpire. Unprecedented on finals football

This.
After the siren.
80 metres out (was about 60 metres when it happened but has stretched through the decades)
Through the middle and win by less than a kick.
Its comfortably less then 60m. The square was only about 57 or so metres from the goals and he is a few metres closer to goal then the square.

@55s, will always remain the greatest thing I saw on a footy field, was at the 89 GF and the footage on barely does it justice :

this one defies the laws of physics :

@4m 5s, a ludicrously casual banana from the wrong pocket, again defying physics and logic :

and about a hundred others that I can't be bothered finding and posting (e.g. the 75m drop punt goal on the run against Hawthorn in the '89 h&a season).

Ablett has everyone covered in this thread.

edit: although to be fair Daicos had his share of gems too.

How is that second one even possible lol

Ablett snrs skills come from a different dimension. Probably explains how he defies the laws of physics.

I saw a post on reddit where some NHL heads were discussing what goal everyone thinks of when someone mentions "that goal". That sport kinda lends itself to it as there were only about 3 examples that got brought up in discussion.

I was wondering what goal comes to mind in AFL when you think of "that goal".

This should be cool because there are so many ways a goal can happen in our game. I encourage you to let your biases run wild here so we can see great goals!

For me, it's this:

or an unbiased one, I always marvel at this one:

Yeah that Carey one (second video) is always the first one that comes to mind for me.

Either Nick Davis, Malceski snap in 2012 GF or Pluggers 1300th for mine. Can't split them.

On another related note, "That Point" is a fairly obvious one, especially for a Swans fan.
