This has been done to death. No one's mind on either side of the argument will change. I've already said Buckley's biggest failing was that he didn't cut deep enough and therein lies one of the great issues with Collingwood fans - we over rate our players. Exhibit A: Fasolo Exhibit B: Jamie Elliott Exhibit C: Darcy Moore. All of these players are AFL standard, but would be rated lower by unbiased footy fans and by the coaching panel than we the fans, do.
The first step in assessing BUckley's performance - good, bad or indifferent is to assess the list in comparison to a team that's up and about - say Adelaide. All three players would struggle to get a game there. Yes, I know I'm being harsh on Jamie Elliott but realistically he has to take Bett's or Cameron's spot and even at his best that would be a close run thing. Go through our list and categorise every player A, B,C or D. With the exception of Pendles, Grundy and probably Treloar I'd bet you've rated them too high

As extension to that have you rated Buckley's performances as too high ?
Because the rest of the competition can't see how he is still there. I am sick of the excuses. Any coach needs to be able to develop a list

Also Would you say the same of the bulldogs list ?

May be the board would not let the football department cut all the way, l don't know.
In some way it would be interesting to find why one way or the other

Hahaha.. I'll give Buckley the benefit of the doubt.. we must be a premiership threat this yr.

Just offloaded a gorilla on the pies to win the premiership at 200/1.

when last I checked in order to win a premiership you actually need to get into the finals first, something we haven't managed for a few years now

Shit I'm just going on avgs on coaches winning cups over the last 20 yrs.. avg is 5 yrs as senior coach. So I'm on Bucks to win it this yr for us given he's 1 yr overdue and our side is tearing it up.

I'm not defending Buckley's performance. I rate his performance as OK at best, but throwing the toys out of the cot and feeding the media frenzy helps no one. Like it or lump it we're stuck with him or a caretaker till the end of the year. IF you want a circus that feeds Robbo, Barret and the other morons be my guest. The season isn't over yet. FWIW, I think the Bulldog's list is substantially better than ours as you would expect given the fact that they bottomed out for several years whereas we never did.

How is it that senior citizens in the Collingwood bigfooty world like Buckley.. what is the psychology behind this.. I'm fascinated. It's actually interesting.

It's become a tribute to the collingwood football club 2017

Coming up with alternative emails for Gary Pert and calling Bucks and Ed idiots is a tribute is it? I don't have a problem with posters being critical but it can be done without name calling.

I agree I don't think there will be nor should there be an indignit end for Buckley, it will happen at year's end and has to.
The bulldogs were in disarray losing their captain, coach and some others. When last I checked, they were up with us in 2010. Have they devloped better ? Yes, did they trade away Voss-like, no
