let me just saay from the top that im taking NOTHING away from craig johnson - i thought he was awesome, but who would you have awarded the medal to?

there were 2 or 3 players you couldve picked (johnno being one) all deserving IMO, but i wouldve just gone with diddy. 20 touches, 9 grabs and 4 goals - 3 in the last term to finish them off. brilliant.



fwiw, the '2 or 3 players' IMO were didak, craig and heater.

PuffDiddy finished them off, but for FOUR quarters of gut busting running and IMMACULATE ball use BOG was clearly "Craig" Johnson.

If i could go back in time and choose one of your players to pull out before the game it'd be Didak. Can't stand him but i thought he (apart from our woeful skills) hurt us the most.

Hird was a butcher of the ball today. Sure he bobbed up for some important passages of play but wouldn't of been close to the medal.

Yeah Roids was the first player to stand up for us when we were struggling in the first quarter. I was happy with the decision.

Ben "craig" Johnson for sure! Backed himself when setting up the play down the wing and in the middle. He is a future leader around the club! Great effort. I also had Maxwell and Didak up there for the medal.

Dale Thomas did very well today, the kid is going to be a STAR!

didn't know getting the cheap kicks from the kick out in the backet pocket meant u were BOG

Didak won us the game, he was the most influential player on the ground

Johnson by a mile for mine, played 4 quarters broke the lines and had 30 very effective touches. He is the form running defender in the comp at the moment.

judging by your user name you are obvisouly a big fan of didaks but I reckon 2 or 3 players on the gournd(johnson , lovett murray and hille) were better players over the course of the game. Although didak is more of a match winner

I thought Nick Maxwell also would have been a deserving winner based upon the criteria for the medal. I think his mark at the moment, is simply mark of the year, especially looking at Jonathan Brown's in 2002.

Maxwell wasn't that good. Probably beat his man on the day and took some important marks but in the first quarter allowed Bradley too much space.
Lovett-Murray set up Essendon in the 1st quarter. It's easy to say he got cheap kicks but the fact is he got in the right positions to stop our attacks and it wasn't until the 2nd half until we figured out what we were doing wrong and took him out of the play.
