If Ben Mantenti is eligible to play for Italy, would that mean Stoinis someone of Greek origin be allowed to represent Greece?

If either of his parents or any grand parents are born there, yes. It goes as far back as that. With this requirement I'm eligible to represent Australia, Italy, England and Scotland in any given sport.

Stoinis last played for Australia in November 2024 so has to sit out three years - that's the qualification period if you have represented any full member and want to play for anyone else.

And in general, you have to have been born in a country, have a passport for any given country (to prove you are a "national" of that country, or live in that country for three years.
