Its a real statement on their culture over on the Richmond board where 90% of them are lauding King's efforts in nullifying Didak and "actually trying".

Happy to see the back of the midget at the end of the year when the new coach comes in and rectifies the situation.

Yeah it's pretty bloody sad over there. How anyone can think smacking a player in the guts behind play is showing passion and fight is bloody ridiculous. Leave them to their sad hero worship and all they'll see is another 20 years of mediocrity. What a sad group of losers.

Can't believe richmond thought they won a fight? I saw no fight there. You cannot win a brawl. King got what he deserved the little twat. Most hated player by the players quite easily. Trys to annoy his opponent to only get 30 touches against him. Good you Jake King.

Maxwell was right you can't retaliate if you start the melee. Remember, that it was four players jumping on King that started the melee. There was no melee before King was reported.

Maxwell was trying to get on the front so the Match Review won't investigate the Didak-Couglan incident several minutes later. The incident big impact, it was in play, high and intentional to lay the hip and shoulder.

The Hislop-Shaw bump in the final 1/4, Shaw tried to run through him and vice versa, both were prepared for the impact and Shaw came off second best, so play on and the correct decision was made.

Hislop-Swan(?) 2nd was definitely a late hit, and was deservedly down the field was played. Luckily for us his kick went only 5 metres.

Only one problem, Didak was almost standing still at the time
and Malcolm Blight said there was nothing in it for that reason, he might know slightly more about the caper than you.

But I think Roan Connolly summed it up best when he said Tiger fans have been so devoid of success for so long they'll desperately cling to anything, in this case they 'won' a fight. It's quite pathetic, you were pumped by 93 points and all you can hang your hat on are a couple of hack snipers. Get the ball and use it is the name of the game.

What about when Shaw was still crouched on the ground hurt from that clash & Hislop ran through him? What a hero Hislop is.

It was on O'Bree & from the video I've seen, Hislop will get a few weeks for elbowing him in the head. Hislop is a weak dog.

Malcolm Blight says he was hardly moving vs Brereton (SEN) saying Didak could be be in trouble. Given the AFL stance on head high contract and not pulling out of the contest, he may be in trouble. Remember, retaliating is not a defence.

I only watched the first half replay and did not see the follow up to the initial Shaw-Hislop clash. At the game, I was following the next play.

Overall, the umpires did a pretty good except when the lost control of the game for those few minutes.

Success is defined by premierships and over the last 30 years, we have both won one premiership, so neither of us been overfully successful.

Because it would have been an ugly day at the office otherwise?

C'mon Pie fans. We all enjoyed it. :)

Happy with your efforts yesterday then? Good, then we're all happy. It's win-win.:thumbsu:

I had Triple M on and Lyon and Frawley both said there was nothing in it. I guess we'll find out on Monday.

why wasnt it holding the ball?
maxwell didnt have much to say next to hislop
oh well collingwood would be laughing they won he game and will be playing finals we won the fight
Only thing you guys won was TOOLS OF THE WEEK!!!!

precious pathetic quarterbrain can only plead for a free kick to be paid.....unbelievable. get a life you punce. and to stick up for jake king after he clearly sucker punched dids....get over your bias and give a professional assessment of the situation...

hislop will get a few weeks for the maxwell jumper punches. good riddance, bloke is a thug, most likely why essendon got rid of him. what was it about some essendon dinner and he punched up a club executive or something..?

Good to see some un-bias opinions in this thread...

Collingwood started the melee, when they all jumped on King.

Dane Swan pulled Deledio's hair! What the hell is that?

Hislop will get weeks for the O'bree incident, Didak should (but probably wont) get a week for the Coughlan one.

And Hislop defs mauled Maxwell, the 'man with no fear' and self proclaimed tough guy.

Hislop always puts his head over the ball, rubbish statement.

End of the day you guys trashed us, that's all that matters. I would defs rather win the 4 points than win the melee.

Richmond couldn't win the game - not if their lives depended on it - so they tried to ruin it instead. They're an utter laughing stock. They were knocking us dead in the aisles at the MCG yesterday - all those hilarious fumbles, slips, ducks and misses.

A whole team full of petulant Barry Halls - minus the punch-power.:p

Hislop is a weak footballer who was bumping late all day..
He should worry about finding the ball and getting a few touches before he gets delisted from a second club in as many years..

WTF???

a dozen players worrying about AFL finals versus a dozen blokes who know suspensions don't carry over to div 1 amateurs.

I thought only local suburban teams cared about winning a fight......Oops my mistake, I was correct the first time.

Funniest thing watching those You tube highlights was seeing King get beset upon by 4 or 5 Magpie players. He looked like Tattoo out of Fantasy Island. Though we must give Tattoo credit, he is an important figure at tigerland. He did after call for Terry Wallace's resignation earlier this year. Wonder why Wallace didn't accept it then??

Why don't you just go back another 10 years to the last 40 years to make your argument even stronger?

In the end lets just both agree that your club is a basket case at the moment.
