You did the wrong thing too. You knew that your actions could have, and likely will have a detrimental impact on someone else's life. The fact that you don't know the guy just makes it more palatable for you and enough for you to justify it as being acceptable.

You obviously don't feel any guilt so it's not really a problem.

Everyone pulls up at different levels on the moral compass. I'm no saint and said previously something like this isn't beyond me even though I've never done it. But I wouldn't try to kid myself that I haven't knowingly done something that could ruin someone's life. I know that sounds drastic but you've no way of knowing what impact your actions might have. Might not be anything mind you.
