Charlie has already had his fair share of free falling. In fact he has become a master of free falling, so this is totally out of the question. So I guess the rock climbing/free fall event I had planned with him is cancelled?
Can we still do the Highland Games? I don't see how a spot of log flinging could do any harm?
Petty heartbreaker, that guyCharlie has already had his fair share of free falling. In fact he has become a master of free falling, so this is totally out of the question.
Tossing the caber is probably out of the question as well given there is a chance he would drop it on himself.
Nah he's just a lad with full moon fever, in a world that keeps on pushing him around.Petty heartbreaker, that guy

Really depends on TDK. Does he become a 80%+ ruckman? If so we can find pinch-hitters.Sorry, I meant we should use McKay in the ruck as relief... should have been clearer! Don't see the point in depserately needing a role player for it if Charlie and Jack are fit.
Might be something touched on in other threads but I wonder what happens with Mirkov and Boyd and getting them around the playing group. Will the club try and get them exemptions to fly interstate? Would be a pretty strange situation to be drafted to a club and your first experience is not at the club's home but at its makeshift facilities interstate.
The team will be back in Melbourne by Monday at the latest. And then we've go the bye.
Mirkov is in isolation anyway.
He can be 80% for this season, that's a given.Really depends on TDK. Does he become a 80%+ ruckman? If so we can find pinch-hitters.
At the moment our rucking problem is that Pitto is slow and has been poor, but TDK is not aerobically capable of playing the main ruck role yet.
I hope so too, but what do you base that on?He can be 80% for this season, that's a given.
It reeks of a (barracked for the club as) boys club.BTW, I wonder if there's something in the idea that of the speculative picks we've gone for - Cottrell, Mirkov, Boyd; if there are others who fit this, let me know - we picked kids who were Blues supporters as children.
It's happening too much for it to be co-incidence, really.
More, I think it's a carrot to try and keep them a) motivated and b) at the club, should they succeed. It reeks of a (barracked for the club as) boys club.
Historical performance.I hope so too, but what do you base that on?

Slipped my mind that Worsfold joined us recently too. Any idea what's he's done so far?

Simmo might take a bigger roles at the club. This is a bit of a worry as he and others weren't great at encouraging the young players along the journey.Good news, but who is developing our kids now?
If he can divide his duties between his development role and senior assistant/midfield coach, that would realistically be the best. It means a) that the reserves will be directly replicating what is being done in the ones, b) there's a clear pathway from reserves to the ones, and c) that in the box, there's someone who actively knows the capabilities/readiness of the developing group.Simmo might take a bigger roles at the club. Played with heart, courage and trained really hard. If the young guys couldn't follow that example then they're the ones with the issue. Not everyone needs to hold their hands and guide them. Think we built a culture where the young guys expected to be coddled through everything a bit. 'the future, so important' etc. Simmo copped it for being a bit self focused. I'd still prefer to have him and his attitude on the list to other older players.Simmo might take a bigger roles at the club. No doubt Simmo set a great example, he just wasn't supportive of the young guys like say Daisy was. Maybe in a paid position he might make more of an effort.Played with heart, courage and trained really hard. If the young guys couldn't follow that example then they're the ones with the issue.
