And yet it was presented with substantially more substance than the "sound-bite" opinions that I think it was aimed at. Did you hear Garry Lyon's justification for his re-ranking of that draft? No? That would be because there wasn't any.
How dare you, Lyon said that he put Max King ahead of Ben because Lloyd told him that when they were 16 Max was better.

I mean, if you can't accept that level of in depth analysis as sufficient justification then I don't know what will satisfy you.

Josh Fraser on SEN:

Fraser not sounding exactly happy with the way he was ousted from the club.
He's trying to sound buoyant, but it sounds as though it may have been just a little cold. The term 'Business-like' was used.

Just my take on things.
Was sounding like a guy who got made redundant in a time when it is difficult to get another job. It is always going Business Like because it has to be.

What did come out to me was that he sounded to have a closer affinity with the Bullants than the Blues which makes me feel the decision to end the affiliation is a good thing. Previously I was in the it's as good as having our own team camp.

Hope this prediction comes true, us 8th and Melbourne 5th - would there be a better side to face in an elimination final! It would be like getting Richmond in 2013.
Yes, but I think it would be very unlikely. Winning 4 games, including beating Collingwood, seems like a big ask for a team like ours.

We'd basically have to be perfect from here which is unlikely.

Next 3 weeks are GC/Collingwood/GWS...all teams around us fighting for a spot at the bottom of the 8. All crunch games and we'd need to win all 3 to have any hope. Then beat Sydney & Adelaide. Brissy in the last round would be really tough.

Win the next 5 and lose to Brissy would leave us 10-7 and a chance. I doubt 9 wins would be enough unless we get a big % boost.

Spot on. You get it.

The thing is that GWS and Pies both need to beat us to make it as well.

9 wins can be enough for us to make it as long as we beat both of them.

done my ladder predictor and we make 8th spot and then:
Play Dees - Should have beat them first time around
Play Port - should have beat them fist time around
Play WC - game in QLD so should beat them
Play Cat - easiest of the lot as we already have beaten them.

Good end to the year.

We have to do a Newnes is what you’re saying

As the Giants seem to /3 clinging on just in hope of finishing in 7th or 8th, if we beat them, we could maybe afford to drop one of either GC or Collingwood. Collingwood are also at the bottom of the 8, if they lose to Nth then it gets a lot easier to sneak in. A lot of ifs here but things are going to be tight.

One game at a time.

Just having a quick look at the fixture, it’s a little unlikely but by no means a long shot. We have 6 games to go and need to win 4, 9 wins is more than enough to make the 8.

We play Collingwood and the Giants, win this two games and it becomes a lot easier. The Pies have 5 games to go, they need 3 wins to make the 8, there run isn’t easy and the Giants are struggling. Anything can happen in 2020.

We have been up and down, but all we have to do is win on Friday, nothing else matters, if we don’t win, we don’t deserve to make the 8 and if we do, we are one step closer.

Which is why I guess, Teague is playing his most experienced players as a first option and will keep doing so until and unless finals become a non option. I'm sure Simpson/Murphy might be seeing this season as possibly their last chance to play finals.

Has been mentioned as a potential coach at wangaratta in the ovens and Murray along with Ben Reid.

Great story. Big blues fan and major horse owner ozzie kheir has been trying to buy this horse from Ireland for some time but balls at the price. Has a few cocktails watching the game Saturday night and when newnes kicks the goal thinks it's an omen and he better but the horse.
On the trail for Cox plate/Melbourne cup. Keep an eye out for sir dragnet.
