AFL Club
Geelong
Hi

I am really annoyed that the GFC players do not where navy shorts anymore for there home
games. I mean they wore them for years ever since the days of colour TV. Now i find that over
about the last ten years or so they seem to only where white shorts against every team exept
Sydney. Why can't Geelong say where navy shorts when they play home games against Carlton
or Collingwood or Essendon, i mean there is no colour clash, all these teams just mentioned never
where white shorts when they are the home team so why should Geelong. The bottom line is that
Geelong should where navy shorts whenever they are the home team wherever they play & only
where white shorts when they are the away team. I mean they wore navy or black shorts for every
home game in the VFL/AFL for over 100 years, why now are they made to where only white shorts
is it the clubs choice or are they made to by the AFL.

I'm OK with it. Looks good as well and doesn't mean we need an alternative home strip.

Its the type of thing that used to worry me.. but when we won flags in the white shorts .. not as much any more. The fact is we are one team that has as much white as dark in our jumper.. we do not get forced to change our strip for most teams who prefer to wear overly dark strips. The afl set what is to be worn in an attempt to prevent clashes

Another example of where we just give in and don't stand up for ourselves.

I generally couldn’t tell you what colour shorts we wear from week to week or in any notable game from the past.

Just me?
Same - I couldn't tell you what colour shorts we wore Thursday night, I look at the guernsey and watch the action, not so much the shorts
