The Collingwobbles

The key to Collingwobbles is simple - they hate the hard ball once Swan and Ball are taken out. Too many soft players rely on them e.g. Wollingham, Thomas, Blair, etc. and then players like Shaw and Obrien are only big run and kick players who just continue to turn it over. How Obrien gets a game is staggering - looks good on the burst but jut butchers the ball all the time - - opposition backs just line up everytime when he kicks it.

Did Didak play today?????? if so should retire I think

I agree with everything you have said despite the deplorable grammar and punctuation :thumbsu:

I don't think you can bestow old titles on a team that won a flag 12 months ago. That would be like giving the handbaggers tag back to Geelong after 2008 or after bowing out in 2010.

Collingwood went ever so slightly away from their manic press towards the end of the year. Whether this be because of players carrying injuries or just the physically taxing nature of the press, I'm not sure. Geelong meanwhile started going more direct, and they had the big bodies up forward to do so, and the crumbers to mop up.

Geelong looked the better team over the last month but even then they were probably only a goal or so away from the Pies streeting them, despite the Cats looking better during the match. I don't think the Pies choked while in front, I just think they had made the most of their chances to be in front and Geelong were still ahead on the run of play.

Sorry, I'll argue it cost them the first 5 minutes of the game.

The whole Collingwood History, flag, pre-match, Cup thingy.

First 5 minutes they were looking at the sky.

Last year or not that's two GF wins from 14 attempts in 53 years. Even the Pies get lucky occasionally and crack the odd one given the law of averages. Only difference last year it was a battle between the greatest GF wobblers in the history of the game. One had to lose and given both couldn't find a way not to wobble it took 2 weeks to decide. Even that happened because of a bad bounce.

Just like old times, Carlton, Richmond & Essendon are sorting out their shit and getting back to the top.

Geelong & Hawthorn are almighty powerhouses.

The interstate teams are working around the clock to get to the top.

Dogs, Saints, Roos, Dees aren't rabbles anymore.

Parts I've bolded are either obviously false, or will be shown to be false in 2012.

Yeh thats an ordinary record I must admit.

However the Collingwood Football Club are not proven cheats unlike the Carlton Football Club. Who gives a crap how many flags Carlton has won and will win in the furure. Cheats are irrelevant. Enjoy basking in your own glory because nobody gives a s**t if you win, lose or draw.:thumbsu:

No, it was a draw. I wouldn't bring up the whole IQ issue if I was you.

You are the same idiot who was trying to pin a rape on a Collingwood player several months ago without any evidence, and you want to question my IQ.

And how did the Saints go last year in the GF? The other poster hasn't replied yet. I wonder why.

As I said IQ the problem? A fair bit of evidence on this one.

Shades of the Hawks' 2008 for the Cats this year. The dominant team for the entire season couldn't get the business done at right time of the year, whilst the eventua GFl winner timed their run to peak when it counted. Hats off to them as well, a very likeable bunch of footballers, especially Bartel

The game back in round 24 says alot about the mentality of both teams.
The Pies were happy to go in soft and concentrate on September where as the Cats really wanted to start hitting their straps.
As it turned out 2010 is different to 2011 and having 2 wins over your opponent counts for much more. Especially when your made of the sterner stuff like Geelong.

Colliwobbles, Collingwobbles or not, let's be honest here folks. Short of seeing your own team win, the sight of Collingwood getting their hopes up to lose in a (yet another) GF is sweet. Schadenfreude, of course, nttawwt. ;)

We lost to a better team... Brisbane were a better team call it what you want but in both circumstances today and against the lions no one would have beat them the times we played them. Of course it's dissapointing to have a good year
And crawl to the end but it wasn't a surprise with the form both teams had.

That's not a wobble a wobbles loosing the unloosable...

No doubt you have a quote on the rape thing or you wouldn't bring it up and I already told you last year's grand final was a draw.

what comeback will collingwood people come up with for me??? thats right nothing at all:D:D

agree with the sheiks earlier post had st kilda been able to win premierships theres no way collingwood would have won it last year

GREAT to see the wobbles back after all these years :thumbsu:
