Fitness has definately been a problem for us, and with big changes in that department, hopefully we have a better run next year. At some point we were going to have to do this youth rebuild, but to bring the list back into balance a bit better. Players like Raines and Clarke cost us next to nothing, and are suitable types if they are fit, so they are well worth the risk IMO

Yep - train him almost like he's a forward pocket, I reckon. Lots of quick movement, lots of agility work. Get him off the beach weights and into core strength work.

Isn't it O'brien's 1st year this year? Played 1 game IIRC last year and wasn't disgraced. While I don't think we will be delisting any more players (if we even can) anyway, you'd be crazy to dump a 2nd year player after 1 game in the seniors.

Yep, unless we are all crazy and Voss is the sane one.

Xavier Clarke following just behind unfortunately for him, but his career with the Lions played out exactly as I suspected.

Glad we signed Hawksley to a two year contract to play in the reserves.

Maguire - game has past him by.

Buchanan - tries hard, but he is not up to it and is not the future.

Bartlett and Austin - in big trouble.

Stiller - just not up to it.

Charman - well that contract worked out well.

Cornelius - in big trouble unless he can do something about his fitness.

Sheldon - going nowhere.

But unfortunately there is no way we can get rid of all of these players. Maybe 6 of this list of 11 will be delisted. With Hawksley (contract), Stiller, and a few others likely to stay
