Picked up the Bluray copy of this today to watch on my 1080p sammie. All I can say is wow! The initial scene and the one with the truck flipping is unbelievable. I was also very impressed with how ledgers makeup held up given the detail. Sound quality is great too. Id give this bluray 9.5/10. Its in the same league as Batman Begins and Casino Royale. Can hardly fault it really.

Bought it yesterday on Blu-Ray as well.. Unbelievable viewing experience! How bloody good were the IMAX Pan shots in full screen? The clarity and sharpness of it. Some of the buildings in the pan shots looked like they were jumping out of my 1080P Bravia.

The sound in Dolby True HD was phenomenal. The amount of low bass in the opening sequences and throughout the movie were terrifying. Cannot fault the HD audio track one bit.

Awesome movie, enjoyed it just as much as i saw it in the cinemas.

^agreed, that was the only flaw in my opinion, should have saved it for the next film

but its not a major flaw for me, still one of the best movies ive seen recently. along with casino royale

I don't think it's a flaw of the movie, but an opportunity lost for future sequels with Two Face as a main villain.

My (nerdish) theory is that the fall killed Harvey Dent, but not Two-Face. Two-Face goes on a crime spree and Bruce/Batman is doing everything he can to bring Harvey back, falling more and more into the "Batman" persona than ever before. But he has to keep trying to bring Harvey back because he has to believe that Harvey can be brought back, because if Harvey can't come back from Two-Face, then how does he know that he (Bruce) can come back from Batman.

Got it for $32 at BigW with the tin case, and yes, it the 2 disc edition.

Worth every cent, crystal clear and soo much better quality then Iron Man which i found a little grainy.

I bought a BR copy today and was totally blown away by the clarity and spatial sound; The IMAX-shot truck chase scenes were definitely the highlight for me. It was clearer than I anticipated and there were no discernible juddering effects on my older LCD TV during these fast scenes, and it certainly did feel like I was right there amidst the action.

I'm intent on checking out the BD-Live features on the disk as my player has that enabled. Has anyone used this yet?

Christopher Nolan is planning on taking part in a Q&A session with 10,000 lucky viewers live via BD-Live :

Most of us may not be so lucky to partake in this session, but there's no doubting that this feature is a great sign of things to come for the BD market.

Anyway, it's the best $35 spent in a looong time. :thumbsu:

Damn, Am I the only person in this country who dosen't have a Blue Ray player?

By the sounds of it, it's worth just going out and buying one for the Dark knight alone.
