Alright, what sort of desserts do you like to have after dinner? My usual basic after-dinner fare is either yoghurt or nata de coco (coconut fibre in this sweet syrup), but after bigger dinners I'd go for custards, cake, gelato, creme caramel, creme brulee or puddings of various kinds :)

Such desserts are often best complimented by dessert wines, which may be anything from late harvest/botrytis (Noble One, Saturernes, Tokaji, etc.), fortified (e.g. Port, Madeira, Sherry, Muscat) or even made from sun-dried grapes (e.g. Vin Santo). Anything like that should mates beautifully with desserts or strong cheese, which another fine after-dinner solution

If I've got the choice or opportunity (ie. at a restaurant or someone's bought/made one) can't pass up a classic slice of rich, moist chocolate or mud cake, with thick rich icing and served with whipped cream.

Also love my grandma's chocolate pudding, served with her chocolate custard and cream.

Goddamn you David! I want some cake .... :(

Chocolate bavarian.

Hmm. There are so many good desserts. Plum pudding and brandy custard...apple pie...anything mildly chocolate related...

Most of the time I just have yoghurt or icecream, sometimes with pears, and most recently with custard. (Bought some ready-to-go custard on impulse at the supermarket the other day. Great stuff.)
