This is starting to peeve me off.

How many hamstring injuries have we had over the past few years?

It seems like we have much more than everyone else.

Dempsey today, Gumbleton, Lloyd, Welsh, Winderlich, McPhee

What gives?

well thats a good point and i know hes done some good at the club but i think its time we got a new fitness coach...john quinn has had his time, been there since 1999 i think.....thats a long time so why not change it couldnt hurt

Has to be something in the recruitment as well
Seems to me we put more value on pacy burst types who are more prone to these sorts of injuries - thinking Winderlich, Dyson, Dempsey
Whereas your Bartel/Hodge types don't seem to suffer as much

John Quinn is the best in the business bar none. Why do you think Carlton offered heaps to get him to move. Your ill informed tripe needs to cease.:thumbsd:

Have a look at everyones injury lists over the last 5 years. Plenty of hammies to be seen at most clubs at various stages ;)

I don't think we've had nearly the same amount or extent of soft tissue injuries as St Kilda's much publicised problem. You're bound to get the odd hammy playing at such a frenetic pace.

it really comes down to the type of midfielder you have. Of course your light weight Dempsey's and Winderlich will suffer.

As stated before, a Hodge/Kerr type would be less suscepitible and coincidentally this is the type of midfielder we need anyway

Tomorrow is April Fools day. Nah, seriously this isn't a joke and it's not funny.

any news on the severity of jetta's injury? didnt look like a tear, given that he played on without looking in too much pain and disposed of the ball properly.

wishful thinking?

Hopefully it's only a slight strain. Saw him in the rooms at the end of the game and he had his hammy bandaged up, didnt seem to have a limp

Fingers crossed it's not too bad. What's going on?

If he wasnt limping then id presume its just precautionary?
Look, im not sure but it didnt look like a bad injury, even when he did the hammy he was capable to keep going. He didnt have it iced straight after the game so i dunno really. Fingers crossed though.
Lovett-Murray looked like he was ok, same with Welshy.
