It could quite easily be a directive from the coaching staff but he hasn't been playing as a lock down defender recently where as 2003-2006 we went into a game confident that Hayden would shut out the oppositions best small forward.

if hayden is fit, i would back him to beat any of his small forward opponents, id be more confident in that than broughton. hayden i believe when fit has been one of the few players able to consistently play excellent football

You said there is a big diff between his best and worst then straight after said his averages were fairly consistant????????

Frigate was observing his averages over a number of seasons are consistent therefore he is not improving.He also gave the figures of his match day performance as well - a handball of high possession games, and a disturbing number of "going missing" games. It is a valid call.
