Yeah Wayne Jackson got what he deserved. Waverley should have never stopped being an AFL venue.

Why they couldn't just upgrade the scoreboard and seating, I don't know.

Herald Sun reporting that the price of the sale was in the vicinity of 20 million dollars, although I wont believe that figure until it's formaly disclosed by the club.

I find this type of person to be quite interesting. Smart enough to write a comprehensible comment with correct spelling and grammar. Even used “bought” correctly! And yet the idea they’re conveying in their comment is so cooked.

Two deals are evidence of our strategic planning, loyalty, and persistence, both of which entrenched us as a club, and helped solidify our future.

Waverley and Launceston.

And guess what, the Saints were with us at some point on both ventures!

Being the flighty, jumpy, and inconsistent (read poorly run) organisation that they are, the Saints blinked (twice), and we stayed the course, reaping the resultant benefits, twice.

So $1 becomes $10,000,000+, amongst many other benefits Waverley has delivered over the years.

So the opposition salt is delicious, hilarious, and very very welcome.

Too little uses for Waverley for too few prospective buyers. It had to be a professional sporting body, team, government or private school with the cash / funding to purchase.

If we got $15m for it, that’s a good result.

No harm in asking for the $20m but the market has watched and spoken.

Heritage listed grandstand, oval, little parking, little public transport.

I’ll miss the days of sitting in the outer in the Hawthorn members but that ship has long sailed as we have embraced the MCG, Launceston, open our new training base at Dingley and strive towards another Hawthorn flag.

I actually submitted an assessment for VCE English which was around newspaper analysis and at least one of my analysis was on the closure of Arctic Park!

I should also mention the fun times I had at training with some of our BF Hawks brethren and posting the odd training report!

The $20M figure was only ever media stated and never by the club or Colliers. So, no, I think $15M is just what the market determined.
