I have a noticable gap, but it's not at the top of my thigh, like in the OP. it's from the bottom half of my thigh to above my knee. I have big hips, and I think that is what causes thigh gaps.

Big hips = less fat in upper leg = more fat in lower leg (knees)

Curse you, GD. Until I opened this thread I had never noticed a "gap", nor did I even know it was a thing. Now it's all I look at whenever there is a woman in my vicinity and am perplexed as to how anyone could consider such a thing abnormally attractive. I don't get it but am now obsessively curious. Will have to be careful today; it's overcast and I'm not wearing sunnies that would otherwise shield said curiosity.

However, Jane from eHarmony? Solid 1, even if her gap-like qualities make it seem she'd snap in a light breeze.

Note: Josh's gf on that show on ABC2 last night had a gap, and by the end of the show he was making out with blokes. Make of that what you will.

A gap is usually a sign of good arse/legs but I think it's possible to have a good arse/legs without the gap. It's not physically possible for some girls to have it. Don't know why.

Can't confuse good gap (caused by well rounded ass and tonned legs) with spread leags syndrome (where skinny legs are set apart by inches all the way down.

More often than not a chick with a prominent 'gap' has a small arse. I like nice, round womanly arses, so the gap doesn't do much for me unless it's an exceptional case.
