Yeah but why not play your young up and comming player who will be a star after all the best place to develop someone is by throwing them in the deep end is it not?

Other clubs seem to do it...

He had a chance and he seems out of favour at the moment. Maybe its his accountability. But up and comers are being played ie, Walker, Cole etc etc. To take it to the extreme viewpoint, all players under about 21 with some degree of talent could be described as up and comers. If thats the case, then we played about 8 of em in the grand final.

Yes but some are capable of maintaing their spot regardless of their age. IE Fraser

Fraser is important to the team's structure - no.1 ruckman, a tall, 3rd option forward behind Taz & Pebbles
IMO He is also superior in a way, as he was a no.1 pick.

When I was 17 I was still trying to work out which was my head ans which was my butt. I could imagine the pressure of being McGough, imagine being seen as the great hope of collingwood. We have to give him time, Greg Williams took a while to get there and McGough has some scary diesel attributes. Let's remember that when he does play he plays well, perhaps MM doesn't want him injured and finished by the time he is 25 like a lot of todays players. I think that we just need to wish Heath the best of luck and get behind the young guys not question their ability as most of them have only started to shave a year ago.

Anyone who claims to be BK's number 1 fan and then criticises McGough for not getting a game every week or being inconsistent should really change their argument.

I've told you before I'll tell you again, I do not support BK because of the exeptional skill he shows each week, but because is a cult figure and try's very hard, looks dopy, and because he's a battler.

where was Macca in the finals, can you back me up. He was at Willy - where BK spent most of his year and has that much potential that they put him in the side against the dons 1 week prior to finals. as soon as he recovered from his ankle inj. Macca played a fair game v the Cats and got dropped two weeks later. BK was one of the best players in the game ag Port in the prelim. He was ranked no 7 in efficientcy. so i will change my argument. Where was mcgough in the finals murray?

Sorry for your late reply guess who but the player that is my friend is Mark Mcgough. Although it wasn't him who told me about Heath. Also just another point about him being dropped. The reason he was dropped was due to team balance and the abundence of midfielders we had. Simply we had to many and one had to go. Unfortunately for Mark it was him because MM wanted extra pace in the midfield. But be assured Mark is determined to become a regular senior player next year and win a premiership with th pies. However also it is pointless comparing Mark to Kinnear as one is a midfield player and the other a tall forward.
