You should only be sorry if at any stage you decided you no longer wanted to support the club ... do not need to be sorry for having an opinion on the club or its players, no matter if that opinion turned out to be inaccurate :thumbsu:

I'm sorry I haven't posted for so long, now it looks like I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

In retrospect, I've always over-rated our list so I don't have anything to apologise about on that front.

Great thread :thumbsu:

At least I have the guts to admit I am wrong..

Gee, sorry for being a real man and admitting I was wrong

I'll let you guys be now
I don't fault you man.

I had my doubts over Riewoldt too, I thought Morton would turn out better, I can't stand those people who downplay his influence "oh it was against WCE, they are shit, anyone would kick 10 against them".

Thats what I hate!

Im sorry some players will never get credit when credit is due. Credit doesnt mean a new contract or being part of the future. Credit is just a rewards for a job well done.
Nah disagree this thread is more of a sorry I thought you were shit now I think your a part of our team. King 2 good games in your opinion doesn't mean that others have to think he is all of a sudden something other than push up king.

He is a real goer gives his all can stick to a task and will always back up a team mate. But don't expect him to take more than 1 mark overhead in a 5 week span, don't expect him to go more than 3 weeks without giving a 50m pen, don't expect him to not kick it out on the full every now and then. He is filling space.

Only person I can say sorry to is Gus I guess even then not like I smashed him.

But as has been said 3 wins and about 5 good performances this season doesn't mean its all just going to fall into place more hard work NO SHORT CUTS as Dimma says and we are going to be heading in the right direction.

I am sorry Chris Newman, I thought you were only captain because of a lack of other experienced candidates and that you only would make the game day 22 because you were captain.

The rest of the players all had something to prove, they should be apologising to us.

Nah disagree this thread is more of a sorry I thought you were shit now I think your a part of our team. (Where does is say that?) King 2 good games in your opinion doesn't mean that others have to think he is all of a sudden something other than push up king. (Short memories around here, bombers(davey), port(pearce, rodan), saints(dal santo), westcoast(hurn), brisbane(power) so thats 1+1+1+1+1 = 5)

He is a real goer gives his all can stick to a task and will always back up a team mate. But don't expect him to take more than 1 mark overhead in a 5 week span, don't expect him to go more than 3 weeks without giving a 50m pen (will happen with the way he attacks the footy and the man), don't expect him to not kick it out on the full every now and then.(i agree should try and get onto is right foot more often) He is filling space. (i agree but doing it very well and thats my/the point)

Only person I can say sorry to is Gus I guess even then not like I smashed him.

I should say sorry to Jack Reiwoldt for doubting his passion and commitment to the club
Jake King - for never supporting him,and hoping the club would delist him.

C Newman - last year I questioned whether he was the right captain for us

Wayne Campbell - again wondering whether he was the best mid field coach

D Daly - our new Forward Line coach. I wasn't sure what he was doing at the club, and why Dimma hired him lol

Ok well being Female I am just going to run with this.

Sorry Adam Patti.... oh wait, no I'm not. I was right.
Sorry Jay Schul...... oh wait, no I'm not. I was right. (regardless of last weekend's performance!)

Sorry Chris Newman, for believing from the very start that you were the right man to Captain this club... oh wait - not sorry, because it's true.

Apology however is warranted to Jack - didn't think he'd do what he has done.

BUT - let's all say sorry when we play finals. Until then, no apologies required.

Until we win a prelim, or at least have an honourable defeat in one, I'm not apologising for anything I've said about anyone at Tigerland.

Got to agree with Wally, while there are some promising signs from a few underrated players, there should zero back slapping until we get to that last day in september.

FFS the players are just finally doing their jobs - attacking the footy, tackling, hitting targets etc. So what? It's a start but we're still on the bottom of the ladder and our three wins have come against some fairly pathetic opposition.

We have virtually no injuries, the really talented blokes are playing well and few muppets are looking competitive finally. In my book this no reason for long suffering Tiger supporters to apologise for anything, we should have an apology for being made to wait so long to see the nucleus of decent side emerge!

Too young to remember 80 or 82, and am gutted that my only happy finals memories are one game in 95 and 03. In the mean time I've seen too many terrible years, false dawns, fast starts to seasons before catastrophic finishes, 9th places and beltings in the few finals we've made for someone of any age, let alone someone in their early 30s.

Am not saying we're crap, there are definitely promising signs, but let's just keep a lid on it until we finally get back to our rightful place as an AFL powerhouse.

Enjoy the ride, but don't get too carried away with some competitive performances and a few wins against bottom 8 sides. It's beneath us....

So what youre really saying is we shouldnt be enjoying whats obviously a fantastic and exciting new period for the club. No back slapping for Jack, Martin, Cotch, Dimma, Benny (Gale and Nason)

So we have only won againsed crap teams, so lets forget our last 5-6 weeks have been fantastic. Forget the first time in years we are playing very hard and disciplined football.

Forget In the last month we are currently 4th on the form ladder, and-

Forget we are 1st in team long kicks (a problem under Wallace, all the short side to side kicks) and Deledio No1 all year in long kicks.

Forget we are averaging 11.8 more clearances than our opposition per game- ranked No.1

Forget we also have three of the top eight clearance players in the competition during that time in Tuck No1, Martin No2 and Cotch 8th. (Cotch also 8th for the season)

Forget we have outscored the opposition by 61 points from stoppages in the last four games, ranked second in the league

Forget our defence has rapidly improved as shown below
Stat (ave. per game) R 1-9 - R 10-13
Points against 120 (16th) - 72.5 (3rd)
Inside 50s conceded 55.2 (15th) - 49.8 (9th)
Opposition goal once inside 50(%) 31.6 (16th) - 20.1 (1st)

Forget our new ruck addition Angus Graham is getting better and better by the week and has climbed to 5th for eff% hitouts

And forget as we all know have the leader for the Colman Medal.

I agree, absolutely no reason to be happy or back slap. Im sorry i have been excited

Never had a bad word against any of them so not apologise for.

This should be a minimum expectation.

I didn't say there weren't promising signs Baz, but all those stats have come from the last 4 rounds.

So from games against:

Port - Ordinary side in their worst losing streak of all time
St Kilda - Yeah good result in the middle, but still got a 38 point touch up
West Coast - Young side in terrible form, missing some of their best players
Brisbane - A decent side absolutely decimated by injuries.

DO NOT GET ME WRONG I HAVE ENJOYED OUR FORM OVER THE LAST MONTH AND FEEL ITS A VERY PROMISING START............but, its four decent four quarter efforts for the year so far, if you count the Hawks game.

And forget as we all know have the leader for the Coleman Medal.
As above have loved the bloke from day 1, so nothing to apologise for

I agree, absolutely no reason to be happy or back slap. Im sorry i have been excited
All I'm saying is be happy about the beginning of the journey and quietly confident about the future........but for god sake don't apologise to anyone until we've done something and beaten someone decent in final, and don't backslap and talk it up like we've made it, until we've made it.

Gotta keep our eye on the prize. I'm sure as hell Dimma would feel exactly the same way. :thumbsu:

Well I for one will apologise on behalf of all those who have judged Ritchie too harshly in the past....because he never asked to be:

Selected high in the draft
Selected before a freak footballer
Held back by poor development
To have pre-season after pre-season disrupted by operations and injury
Afflicted by the barbs and arrows hurled by those who have never played footy at the highest level.

What he brings to the team is defensive pressure, line breaking runs and general positivity. Go back and watch the tape of the last few wins and see how he hurls himself into the contest.

I for one am very happy to have Tambo at the Club and wish the knockers would just quit trying to bring the bloke down.

What a pathetic post... typical jack off post.

No one is saying 'dont be excited'... but who the **** do we think we are when we're patting ourselves on the back when our statistics look alright after a month playing some of the biggest rabble in the comp.

Seriously, it takes years to build a culture of these type of performances... the minute everyone starts pissing in the pockets of our players because of a handful of good performances, then immediately we step back into a culture of mediocrity and delusion.

Again, l'm not saying that things arent positive, we have to start from somewhere... but 3 out 4 good weeks... spare me.

ps. stats are bullshit. For every 10 stats that you show me that we're great at... l'll give you 1000 that we're ****ing awful at.

I'll give you the one stat that matters:

16. Richmond 13 3 10 0 974 1370 71.1

Your apology is accepted.
Are you living overseas?
If you are then I can kind of see your point, because we have all been through so many false dawns.
But if you are actually here and going to games and you can't see that things are changing for the better for the first time in eons, then I can't understand your position.
