Andy Summers sans The Police, one of the few jazz guitarists that can match with the likes of Allan Holdsworth.
Mulleted Chad Wackerman is the common denominator between them here

I can't replicate the feeling I got when I first heard this album about 20 years ago, even though it was recorded way back in 1968, I just never heard anything like it before. The combination of the African percussion and the sweeping big band arrangement with the gospel chants still hits the spot.

Been listening to a couple of Amina Claudine Myers albums from the late 1970's/early 1980's.

Both very diverse albums, so not one individual track is stylistically representative of the entire album. I would guess Cecil Taylor might be one of the influences on the more adventurous and abstract piano playing on a couple of the instrumental pieces across both albums.

These two tunes are different - gospel influenced tracks with vocals using various instruments organ, gong, harmonica, triangle. The first track kicks into a groovy organ funk halfway through to the end and the 2nd is a more reflective, meditative piece.

Matthew Lux's Communication Arts Quartet "Camisa Sete". (2017)

This track starts off funky drummer style adding Brazillian style percussion and then gets a little dubby with some short coiled patterns on guitar repeated with slight variations, and floating over the top a fanfare of cornet/trumpet like a kind of marching parade band arriving and passing by. You hear some melodica and maybe some keyboards too before it ends abruptly. It can be intricate head music or just beat music.

Lesser known 60's Blue Note Records trumpet player who recorded 2 albums for the label, in 1968 (Eddie Gale's Ghetto Music) and 1969 (Black Rhythm Happening), that get reissued from time to time on either CD or vinyl.
