Yes Simon did bring up the interview this morning, but it is unfair to blame him for the beatup, he was very balanced in his reporting of the incident.

He's one of the more even handed broadcasters on PR it must be said.

All morning Simon was trying to contact Freo to clarify. And he repeatedly stated this as well as that it may be nothing. He spent ALOT of time stressing both of these things.

The online media then went and stated it as absolute fact which is stupid.

I was listening to Simon's show this morning and he definately didn't beat it up.

He repeatedly stated he is trying to get in contact Freo to ask about it, and that Steve had said 'like KKK' so it may just be a slip of the tongue with nothing in it. He stated it this over and over again.

At no point in the whole show did he state they definately were wearing KKK, he always qualified it that he was trying to contact the club and there may be nothing it just a slip of the tongue, a bad description.

It was when the other news agencies picked up on it, who had KKK pics plastered over their websites, and twisting it so it was as if they definately dressed as KKK.

So yeah, Simon was very restrained in his show this morning, it was Fox sports and the like that weren't.

Rubbish, Beaumont was beating it into a frenzy. He clearly thought he was onto a scandal and went at it like a bull at a gate. An apology should be in order.
