Charlie Spargo thanks Nate the not father and son

His debut meant the Spargo family was the first to produce four league footballers - in a direct line - through four succesive generations.

Charlie's great-grandfather, Bob snr, played 65 games for Footscray (1934-1941) and two games for Melbourne (1942). Charlie's grandfather, Bob jnr, played 80 games for Footscray (1958-53). Charlie's father, Paul, played 81 games for North Melbourne (1985-92) and nine games for the Brisbane Bears (1993). Bob snr had another son, Ricky (Charlie's great-uncle), who played 64 games for Footscray (1966-71).

Thanks Nate, from memory only a couple of wins this year, was close on a few but no cigar.
