Even the Liberals don't want to be associated with the Liberals.

Jason Wood was one of the original 43 to vote against Turnbull. Then voted for Dutton. Wish they didn't change the boundaries of my electorate so I could not vote for this guy

Maybe but I would say a larger factor has been the franking credits that has created an unusual market. The ASX is the only major market where major stocks are more focused on dividends over earnings and this has resulted in good income streams for shareholders but poorer business growth then otherwise would be the case.

That actually makes our capital growth (i.e. prices) lower because you get more of your return in franking credits.

The more the NLP argue against establishing a Federal ICAC, the more you know we need one

We need one and it should be broader than corruption and include misleading and deceptive conduct, unsubstantiated forward looking statements, incorrect assertions etc etc

I think the government has set up an integrity commission for departments but conveniently left themselves out of the hot seat.

We wouldn't have a functioning Parliament if that was the case.

But I agree more needs to be done to combat the above.

I honestly don’t believe we’d have one existing member left standing.

That’s a sad indictment

If the Liberal Party wish to get into bed with UAP how does that reconcile with the 'high welfare debt'' mantra?

UAP are offering pensioners $150pw rise in pensions (ok there is a misleading advert on youtube) it said pw. This says PF

Currently Australian pensioners are paid less than what asylum seekers are paid a fortnight. This is a disgrace and by increasing the aged pension by 20 per cent the Palmer United Party will provide pensioners with an additional $150 a fortnight.”

Ahh found it from his FB page , or at least the link to it

Clive Palmer - Home | Facebook

https://en-gb.facebook.com › Pages › Public figure › Entrepreneur

Support our pensioners with $150/week increase. 42. 9. More empty promises from Labor & Liberal. 22. 5. 20% Less tax for Regional Australia. 83. 24.

Full pension (single adult) = $820 per fortnight
SRSS payment for asylum seeker (single adult) = $480 per fortnight

The only way a pensioner receives less than an asylum seeker is if they're means tested out of needing to get the pension. What a strange and easily debunked policy position.

If the Chinese wanted to invade Australia they could have done so any time within the last decade without breaking a sweat.

The conspiracy theory is amusing and the voters in WA at least have largely switched off to UAP's claims and mock Clive Palmer.

No ones going to invade us so long a we sell them what they want at knock down prices.

It would be far more expensive to invade and plunder

Anyway if such as Palmer were PM the Chinese could invade on any of the days he missed parliament, which was most of them
