Yes im jumping the gun a little early only being half time.

But do you think that this is a good kick up the arse that we need to make the boys click to start putting four solid quaters of football together ???

No im in no way dissapointed with the way boys have played this year but im wondering if this will do us good ????

Even though we still have half a game to go i really do think that this will help us regardless of tonights result & its only a short matter of time before we do hit out straps & stop letting teams getting early jumps on us.

27 wins out of 28 says it all but the team has not been playing well this year.

Not sure what it means - a real drubbing will be terrible for the team - there does not appear to be much thought gone into the game - Collingwood is very well prepared and ready for all moves

Varcoe for Chapman strikes me as hard to fathom but there are many so badly off their game. Rooke must have upset someone

Hope it does not lead to panic - I cannot stand watching this

The guys have learnt from it happening to much & id rather that will lose the less important games earlier

All i say is if we do end up getting pumped

Watch out carlton cause its been a bloody long time since we have been this dissapointing & i wouldnt want to be on the receiving end after something like this has happened.

Not good for the blues next week who play the cats You Will certainly want to make a menze after tonights performance. Ottens and Chapman back will make it very ugly

A loss will never do any team good. 4 points is vital in the scheme of things.

not when your record is 8-0 AND not when you won last year premierhsip...looks like last years dvd is coming out tonight....amazing how good it is to have a winning premierhship on dvd to soooooth the pain...

A loss is a loss and is never good for a footy club - this is no troll, I said the same thing on the Hawthorn Board about a hypothetical if we lose to Melbourne.

A loss is never desirable. I remember Adelaide in 06 where they had won 15 games in a row with a % of like 166 and got smashed by 80 odd in westcoast. We know what happened after that. Not saying u guys will do that but a loss like this could really hurt the team. Hopefully u guys bounce back as i like the cats a lot more than hawks

Wonder if you bitches were also crying from the rooftop when port beat us in round 21 last year...how did we go after that...

MCG - NIGHT- and COLLINGWOOD...put all three together and the cats have never preformed well..

boo hoo its a loss..by you logic not team in history has lost a game and then gone on to win a premiership....

Its junk time for us..weve made the finals and a few of the boy were looking forward to a free weekend.....

Cats tonight missing Chapman Ottens Rooke. Ling playing injured, and Ablett may still be carrying calf soreness. You will overcome injuries and peak at the right time.

Last year was awesome hey...we won the premiership by a record margin and you guys choked against north after just falling across the line against the average adelaide .... you should pop by i'm about to put the GF2007 dvd on and watch it again...pity you dont have one in colour

You'd bloody hope so.

You never like to be right about these things but the reality is we were able to beat shit teams by playing ~20 minutes of good footy. We came up against a good team and, voila, we got flogged. By the sound of it one player has been close to par - Ablett, as always. Match ups sounded terrible, several players clearly under an injury cloud...but I'm inclined to think that when the captain and a senior player (Mooney) both come out in the press and defend our poor starts, such a result might be inevitable.

What a stupid comment, a loss can be very useful especially if a team has been winning like Geelong have and have picked up some bad habits. It can also be useful for the coaching staff to remember they need to vary their game plans and not rely on the one that has worked 27 out of the last 28 matches... sorry 29 matches.

We were due for a loss.

We need a big body in the Backline
We showed a lack of pace big time
We overrated our team
We do not have the depth that we keep talking about
We hae been wining but not in a convining manner
We do not have any excuses
........etc
We will learn from this as it will perhaps shake the club

My god. What an absolutely embarrasing performance. Well done to Collingwood who were great but as for us. Welllllllll. Very ordinary. You can't win all the time but the signs are surely worrying especially up forward where it is not happening at all.

A loss is one thing, a 15-goal flogging is another.

Collingwood just showed how to beat us. The blueprint is right there.

Anyway, it is just one loss, and we have Carlton next week, who we have flogged in recent times, but beating up on a minnow like Carlton doesn't do us any good if teams who will be contesting the finals with us can play like this against us.

'The loss we had to have' doesn't really hold much water with me, considering the way we played.
