SJ and the Tomahawk have been off the boil big time in recent weeks. Moons can't do it all, especially if he is doing the lead-up role, and Gamble is still inexperienced.
Didn't help that there were usually 17 blokes in black and white down there every time we finally worked the ball in.

OK, first thing's first.
I haven't read any other posts so far tonight.
I watched to half time and it was obvious that Collingwood were on and Geelong was off.
Checked the live score on Fox and it just got worse.
All I can say is - well played Pies. You guys came to play and showed Geelong up.
Other than that, what else can be said?
How Geelong responds next week will tell us more I feel.
Hopefully fellow supporters don't make knee jerk reactions. It was a loss that was coming (I was very nervous about this game all week) and, while I was surprised at the margin I wasn't completely shocked at dropping this one.
However, as I say, next week will reveal more I feel.
Again, well played Collingwood, they deserved the win.

could feel that a loss was only a few weeks away for you guys.. honestly think you needed it.. kind of got the monkey off your back and dont have to live up to the unbeatable tag. Will keenly watch you boys next week, i think you will play your best game this season v the blues.. good luck!

My god. What an absolutely embarrasing performance. Well done to Collingwood who were great but as for us. Welllllllll. Very ordinary. You can't win all the time but the signs are surely worrying especially up forward where it is not happening at all.

I'm not terribly disappointed with this game. Sure you want to win every week but sometimes these games can slap you back into reality. We'll give Carlton a slapping next week without too much worry.

Merely a glitch. Still the premiership favourites comfortably. Although if you face collingwood at some stage in the finals your boys might get a few jitters.

heres a memo for ya....Under Lights and MCG is not a good thing for us....
Cappy is very important to this team..ditto ottens...ditto egan......
soon as i heard cappy was out i loaded up on collingwood...nice at $4.50
blind freddy knew we were due and the G at night was an issue for us

You dont need to be a scientist to notice the fact that the past 4 weeks or so Geelong havnt been ontop of their game but have still won. At least now they will sit back and say "hey, look we are defeatable so from now on lets give it out very best for the full 4 quarters and not let this happen again".
The loss will bring them back down to earth and will make them a better side.
P.S: I would hate to be the club playing the cats next week, I got a feeling their gonna get thumped lol

Here's a memo for ya....free world....everyone is entitled to an opinion if you dont agree with it that is totally acceptable however insulting people for not having the same opinion is just small minded.

Given we have not lost like that since round 13 2006, players such as hawk, varcoe, gamble, west and selwood have only tonight been introduced to the rollarcoster that is AFL. to say we are going to bounce back is only presumptious but if they do it will illustrate the real character of the club... the kind of character rooke brings in, i might just add!
