Lack of movement on the topic of Tottenham’s manager to me is suggestive of Ange potentially being locked in and no confirmation/announcement until after Celtic’s season finishes.
The Celtics season is over. Isn't that right Elmer_Judd?

This, or for some reason we still don't have a director of football and they'll be part of the hiring process. Or if you believe some reports, a legal version of one as Paratici is still consulting to the club!

very hard to read at the moment. part of me thought we were going to try pip Chelsea for Poch. but clearly not on the agenda
I wonder if it's Inzaghi and Conte is firming for a return to Inter. And will happen post-CL final.

Nagelsman, Ange or Enrique probably still in frame as well. though latter probably ends up at Napoli or PSG.

Not sure that notion has gone done too well at the Spurs fan forum (thefightingcock) I just had a look at that;

If Kane isn’t gone already it’ll be confirmed 5 minutes after Ange is announced.
“Who? He managed where?”

Indeed. The idea that Harry would turn down the likes of Madrid, Utd and City to play under Crocodile Dundee is utterly laughable.

We’re the only big club in a big league who would hire this guy.

& It’s out of a combination of being desperate and wanting to do shit on the cheap.

You could literally put ****ing ChatGPT in charge of Celtic and they'd walk the Scottish League.

Forgive me if my standards are a little higher than a pensioner who managed to managed to beat St Mirren without parking the bus.

Hiring a geriatric Aussie who hasn't managed anything above the level of park football would be the least ambitious appointment imaginable. It essentially says that Levy is happy with mediocrity and that Spurs will be in a relegation dogfight next season.

We're hiring someone from the Scottish Premiership. A division that a ****ing potato could win.

He’s a total nobody who has managed in nothing leagues. We charge the highest ticket prices in the world.
Fans have every right to call this out for what it is - a cheap punt. Another huge risk for the football club.
Scotland, Asia and ****ing Australia. God help us

And that is just the last 3 pages.
To be fair there are a few more rational voices who aren't trying to get #NOTOANGE trending. There is also a poll on who the fans want as their next manager and judging by those votes (only 382 admittedly) the vocal opposition may not necessarily reflect the views of the majority.
Nagelsman 46%, Slot 24%, Kompany 11%,Ange 9%, just ahead of De Zerbi.

So with the first three seemingly out of contention......?

Mind you I seem to to recall Celtic fans generally not being enamoured with his appointment either, but that has turned out fairly well.

Ange does his thing and won't be bothered in the slightest by detractors. Apart from when he joined Victory every job he has had seen similar responses. When he took on Brisbane Roar he was derided for his youth management history. Socceroos - not good enough because no overseas experience. J-League - why is he taking on the job when he can manage at WC 2018. Celtic - who the f is this?

Ange to Spurs just feels like another disaster waiting to happen.

He'll make some unpopular calls if he gets the gig and is very uncomprimising with his philosphy. Can see him being someone who would take on Levy which would make a big portion of the Spurs fan base happy. Don't see it being a disaster, at the very least he'll have Spurs playing attractive football and failing instead of the dour crap they've served up recently and still failing.

Ange to Spurs feels like the perfect fit tbh. He's not a big profile coach that will publicly ask for more money, he'll prefer to change the way the club plays using the system rather than incoming players.

I don't think he'll win anything with them but I feel like he/the owners will get along much better than previous managers.

In what capacity? I don't see him as doing that at all.
