FWIW- im a wuss when it comes to pain. And... eating/drinking. I'd be so bad at getting a colonoscopy and having to drink that shit.

I can suck it up tho when it comes to needles (the dentists needle has never bothered me in the slightest) but they're obviously not my fave.



I think i googled once, what it was like to go through and endure cancer. Man- that was a mistake. I would give up so quickly if i got anything like that...

Most painful procedures that don't involve a GA involve local so it isn't so much pain at the time, but pain later
Occasionally there's stuff like discograms which can't be done under GA

I've heard of gorillagrams and strippergrams but never discograms. brb googling

I find that anticipated pain (dentist etc) can be managed quite effectively by a mental process. Until you reach an edge when it becomes unstable, and as soon as you begin to wobble that's it. Welcome to the House of Pain. Mental process be buggered, I should have had the anaesthetic.

Having said that, I've had fillings and extractions and a bad abscess on the roof of my mouth sliced open without anaesthetic.

Unanticipated pain (such as me opening the car door in a strong wind and it blew the top corner into my typhoid process) is a different kettle of fish. There's an involuntary reaction that you may or may not be able to subdue. I spent a good couple of minutes doubled over screaming internally before staggering off to have a Bex and a lie down.

The ending of Niptuck was a disgrace. Should have been Kimber (and maybe a flashback to how she survived) sitting at that bar. Not some random *******.

And I'm reluctant to say this because the last thing I want to do is put people off being on the registry , but bone marrow donations are painful unfortunately
Most caesarean sections are under spinal / epidural and it's a tugging sensation rather than pain at the time of procedure if all goes to plan

As for conditions, yeah, those two are up there (but pain is a subjective experience so it varies person by person). Plus kidney stones can occur in each gender, and aren't always painful. at the extreme end, they can be though.
Others include shingles in specific locations , specific types of trauma (accidents) and chronic neuropathic pain

Went to the Dr, was told if I had come in earlier I could have had medicine but instead it would be 2 weeks or horror before getting better.

Pretty much spot on for timing.

Ive never been hit by a blowtorch but if I were to describe the pain, that would be it.

I also liked the Escobar appearances, especially when they changed his face so he can leave the country. Except that they changed it to look like someone else on the most wanted list
