I should be over it by now but I can hold a grudge for a very long time.

and let’s be honest, there were some big losers this week that deserved a lot of discussion.

Yes - we were playing North, there was no crowd and the game was up against another big game between Richmond and Melbourne.

Saying that, I always wondered why the AFL only caters for big marquee games in Melbourne, and not anywhere else ? Do they feel that in Perth and Adelaide, the crowds will turn up regardless, and that the teams don't need national exposure for sponsors ?

Yeah I don't have a problem with not being pumped up much.

Our true form is still a watch this space. The next 2 weeks vs Eagles and Lions will give us a better indication if we're actually any good, and the media should start to take notice if we can win one or both of those.

Given how heavily back-ended our fixture is with good teams, I could easily see a situation where we miss out on finals from a good W/L position, so we need to match it with some good sides first to prove ourselves.

I watched Footy Classified last night and they were scathing of the Eagles, but very kind to us for once.

They also showed footage of an embarrassed MC not knowing who won the B.O.G award in the Melbourne Vs Richmond game on Sunday. But they then showed footage of a little old lady at the 2008 WAFL Grand Final who accidentally announced Clint Jones from South Fremantle as the Simpson Medallist when he only had 4 touches for the entire game.

Then as Clint began his acceptance speech with......"Well this was unexpected"...... and after receiving the medal, he was stripped of the medal and dragged offstage by match officials only to be replaced with the real winner, Toby McGrath.

Yes that’s right. Fortunately/unfortunately Saturday night was a nothing game. We were expected to win, we did win. There wasn’t too much extraordinary to discuss bank the 4 points & move on.

The fact that he is getting all these Goal scoring opportunities is awesome !
Means we have improved as a team across the ground and not reliant on him carrying us .
I hope he straightens up a bit though , don't want his greatness tainted by the media focussing on that .

Fyfe is a bull, we underrate his work at time. We just have come to expect that level of work from him every week.

Just because when he walks into the Lake Grace pub and is called a punce because of his hair, doesn’t detract from his standing in the game.

It was the 2005 WAFL GF. Jones would have got more than 4 possessions. He played quite a good game and was eyecatching and quite flashy with his pace and cutting inside on his left foot along the wing. The little old lady was someone from the Simpson Family and obviously took a shine to him and tried to do a Ross Glenndening on the Simpson medal award. (By 2008 Jones would have been at St Kilda).
