Engelaar was an absolute boss today. Dominated the midfield.
JVS proving why he is such top manager.... Gerhardt shut out Carlos for the entire game, great tactical ploy
HK might not even make the starting XI next match, going to be hard to drop Williams.
Love the look of Mauk as well he looks a class CM for the future.

We probably need 7 points to give ourselves a red hot crack at making the finals.

It's not just about getting points; it's the teams that we get them against. Simply, we can't afford to split the points against any of the teams that are outside the top two. And we've got to hope for Brisbane and West Sydney to pretty much beat all those teams every time they play against them. And, when in doubt, hoping for draws when any of the teams between 3-9 are playing each other.

Brisbane (h), Victory (h), Newcastle (a), Wellington (h), Central Coast (h), Brisbane (a), Adelaide (a), West Sydney (h) to come.

If we beat Brisbane, I'll start to think it's a possibility. But really, just being one of the top two or three teams since the new year would be enough for me, considering where we've come from.

Quite clearly Aloisi was out of his depth both last season and the start of this season. Why the hell did they wait so long to fire him? As soon as JVS came back to the club in August, he should of immediately became head coach again. Heart would be in a finals spot right now.

I was speaking to someone today about our form and they said that the City purchased has made the team play better, I called bullshit, we've been better because of JvS.
