Might not be this season but is almost guaranteed next season.

It was good while it lasted mancs and scousers, seeya goobers.

In a couple of seasons we'll be able to be back up there fighting again, now we've cleared off the debt. But you're right - at least for this season anyway IMO. I think this has been a while coming for United, they've slowly declined for a few seasons now - and with Ronaldo gone, and Rooney cracking the shits, they really do lack quality.

The North West giants might be on their knees at the moment so enjoy it while it lasts. Things in football can change very very quickly.

Only a brave (read:foolish) man would leave MU out of the big 4.

They still spend the big $$$ when needed.

We need to build a new stadium and consistently make the CL to compete with the big boys.

Anyway, not finishing top 4 this season would be an utter failure for Spurs. (especially if Rooney leaves in Jan).

What is it BB? 300m turnover and an 85m loss?

Astonishing. And quite disgusting if I'm being honest.

If Arsenal don't take advantage of this situation in England and actually win a trophy then we are ****ing ******ed. Two of the original big 4 not doing well at all, yet we are still unable to beat West Brom. Surely we can win the FA Cup or Shit Cup if not the League. By the end of this season Arsenal will have no debt what so ever as well.

Even the best teams drop a game every now and then to the mid tablers, its nothing concerning unless u make a consistent habit of it.

They're obviously playing above themselves at the moment though.

It's concerning when WBA are the only team Liverpool have beaten domestically this season.

My take on it is that it will be a big 1 in the short term probably with 4 teams battling it out for 2-5. Chelsea are currently in a league of their own, the only thing they'll need to do within the next 2-3 years is find a replacement for diddy, which is probably easier said then done.

City will join them within the next 2 years to form a big 2. I think they'll view this season as a success if they finish ahead of United and make CL.

Can't see United falling too far, Spurs and Gunners are strong enough to maintain a second tier pushing for CL spots. Liverpool will re-join them at some point in the short to mid term.

I'm sure it wont be too long untill some billionaire comes in and buys a Blackburn or Stoke and they'll start pushing.

I reckon there wont be a new big 4, will be two tiers of elite teams probably for the majority of this decade without any unforeseen circumstances.

The fifa fairplay rules will restrict the impact of spending sprees by billionaires wouldn't it?

Im hoping spurs take advantage of manure and liverpools situation make the top 4 again. Just hoping we down crash and burn:(

If you don't finish in the top 4, there's something very wrong.

A top 4 of Chelsea, Mancity, Manure and Arsenal doesn't sound wrong to me. Are people forgetting we lost to West Ham?

Also expecting United to bounce back. Would be great if they didn't though.

Yup.

Which is going to be a problem for Chelsea, given the age of their squad - at least their better players. They lack a global fanbase of the size that others have, which is a thing that is quite crucial in terms of the Fairplay rules.

Chelsea need to hope they have a few more in the same mould as McEachran coming through their academy.

What's Chelsea's turnover like? I reckon it'd be a fair bit higher than citeh's, they have much higher ticket prices for a not much smaller stadium, and all that income from the Chelsea Village, which is tacky as **** and presumably hugely overpriced, being in That London.

For a poor quality stadium, much higher than you'd expect in terms of matchday revenue. A lot of corporates.
