I don't recall reading or hearing this from the club.

That is what others have led us to believe but not the club...... no leaks not promises nothing, just the way it should be.

With my own ears I heard the words 'the best of the best'…and this didn't come from Rowie. By the way they built it up we should be expecting huge and mighty things.

Eh, he may have implied Clarko, but he's left himself a ton of wiggle room there to claim he's still right if it's a Dew/Bolton/Ratten hire on the panel.

Well, hypothetically, the information could have come from David Penberthy who also worked at 5AA and is supposedly a mate of Sandos. Rowey may have spent the next 4 hours getting confirmation from anyone but Penbo.

I've heard that the leak was from Trigg. He was called by Chapman in regards to the contract that he had set up and clauses in it to remove Sando. Straight afterwards Rowie knew. That information is from Penberthy.

I'm just as doubtful as anyone about croweater, I would put money on him not having good information. Hounding him for new info and giving him shit is over the top though - he's given us what he says he could. Any disappointment over Clarkson not being our coach is no ones fault but our own - I bought in and still am unreasonably hoping there's something to it. For all we know Crow eater is a Port plant playing the long game and laughing his arse off (unlikely but wouldn't put it past them)

At the end of the day Croweater has given us nothing and it should be treated as such - regardless if its Clarko, Dew, Longmire.

There's a golden opportunity in another thread that allows those with 'inside knowledge' to easily specify a name without risking anything but their own reputation - but many are still unwilling to actually put it on the line. I think there is a very high chance that at least one of our coaching announcements (assistants, etc. included) will come from either Sydney or Hawthorn. Add to the mix that all of Dew, Bolton and Ratten are some of the prime candidates for the head gig, I don't think its far out to suggest that one of our coaches was at least involved somewhat in the GF.

Nope, you're simply making it up now. I was always hopeful, but totally skeptical about Clarko. It all seemed then, and now, too ridiculously good to be true. I doubt there's any poster on here who firmly believes we'll get Clarkson.

If I was a hawks fan when they got Clarkson and had put up with Schwab and Donald McDonald for 4 years, I would have been ecstatic with Ronald MacDonald as a coach so Clarkson would have been a godsend. Is Bassett a godsend?

All of these are too.. I haven't said it's all bullshit, just clearing up if we're still on the same track for the coup of the century..

I haven't read all the posts since the day Sando was sacked, but on that day I posted that our new coach would come from the 4 remaining in the finals.

I stand by that, just now it is from the remaining 2.

Make no mistake, The Crows are up to their necks in this big time. We will have our coach within 2 weeks of the GF.

Scenario one is the DEFINITE. I said it in the other thread on the day that Sando was sacked and I'll say it again...our new coach is from those remaining in the finals.

Everyone will be shocked. Crows supporters WILL be happy and also VERY proud that their so called "basket case" club has pulled off the coup of the century.

Once this is all announced, people will realise that the AFC have handled this exceptionally well. It is no mean feat to have kept it under wraps like we they did.

Respect to Sando, but the club had no choice if it wanted to progress to the next level.

That's probably somewhat fair if it is in actual fact Clarko or Longmire. But when people are unwilling to narrow it to names, you cant expect everyone to believe you were always in the loop when your wiggle room is the leading candidates.
