Walsh and Williams aren't what you'd call the best of mates from what I hear.

The one thing I am wondering (hoping perhaps more accurately) is that we're wanting to announce the full set up at the same time.
Coach, senior assistant, list manager, any assistant coach changes. Rather than drip feed info that only shows part of the picture.

Thanks Macca19 . Always respect your opinion. Walsh would be a good fit for Adelaide either as DOC or as head coach. Could possibly see Dew as HC and Walsh as his mentor. What do you think? They had a falling out over something petty and he relegated Walsh from one of the best match day assistants in the league to out of the coaches box and into a forward opposition scouting role, which is why he left. He didnt want to leave Port but felt he couldnt work with Williams any more.
I still think coaching is pretty straight forward and old school. Its all about respect and you look at the premiership coaches over the last 10 years and they pretty much all look like they'd throw you down a set of stairs if you talked back to them. Its why others like Hinkley, Lyon, Eade have had teams that play for them as well. Its also why the 'ill be your best buddy, you can tell me anything' guys like Sando, Watters, McCartney, Primus, Voss, McKenna are more suited to assistant/development roles. If Walsh does get it, you will have a coach that the players will want to play for and will thrive under imo.
Im hearing he may not have been offered the senior coaches role, but a DOC/SA role, if thats the case, I dont think Port would stand in his way either.
Would getting walshy be upsetting for the PAP fans?I've already seen posted that we're just a bunch of maggots who are stealing him just because we want to screw over Port.
You'd think they'd be happy that a long time coach of theirs might be finally getting a senior gig, but apparently not.
Despite Noble saying we won't be big players?I still think we are on track trade wise, big things will happen in the trade period.
Absolutely no way. Younie has a teaching background, good communicator for young squad. Bickley is a knob.Happy for Bicks to replace Younie
Despite Noble saying we won't be big players?
Our next head coach is intuitively obvious
………...It's Clarkson or we’re completely and utterly screwed...
They can still have "gotten their man" but have been cautious enough to go and test drive some other coaches too just in case. Don't mean to sound disrespectful, but I don't think Walsh had people knocking down his door for a senior gig unlike guys like Dew, Bassett and Bolton have/will have coming up, so maybe they felt comfortable enough to go "Walshy looks to be the man, but let's be sure"Yeah, the got their man stuff doesn't make sense if we're still conducting interviews
We may as well add Ned Ryerson to the poll...
Thanks for your well considered opinion. A Walsh, Dew combo may well be on the cards. My avatar says "By the beard of Zuess!!" You want to offload Nicks as well? NahI rate Walsh and would be sad to lose him at Port, but you cannot deny the guy an opportunity to be a senior coach should that be his wish. Should it be for a DOC role as Macca19 has suggested, I think I would be less inclined to be happy with it, but again, it’s a promotion in essence. You know Kenny wont stand in his way.
I think you could do a lot worse than Phil Walsh. He is a well respected strategist and commands respect from his players.
Perhaps a Walsh, Dew combo or even Matty Nicks.
I hope not, but I think they could do a good job with your club… I guess we now just wait and see.

Why yes I believe they did! That makes it back to back doesn't it?Sorry did you win the flag this season? Must have missed that.
I agree. If you take a coaches primary role to get players to improve on previous years output or even better have a career year then it makes compulsive reading.I would be surprised if most of the current panel remains
I would like Dasher to stay, ROK would be a good get, Lade is another I would target and if it is Walsh he would need to chose his own right hand man
