The Next CEO?

Not taking the piss. We need someone with vision and balls to lead the club - and Kennett has both. If not Kennett, someone with similar visionary skills who is also a passionate Crows supporter.

Kennett would be unbelievable. But the club appointing him would be like turkey's voting for christmas

Generally most draftees aren't known; someone watches a youtube clip and forms an opinion. The same snapshot could be had by looking at a company's financial reports and seeing good growth in recent years.

All suggestions have been made of football people. So you have probably opened the eyes of some to think about successful businesses CEO's and would they translate over.

Would anyone now if headhunting another club's CEO is common? I can't think of too many that has occurred recently. More likely the COO moves (like Fox did to Hawks).

The only way we'd get a CEO from a successful business, is if that person was a mad Crows supporter who was willing to take a pay cut. Running an AFL club is like kindergarten level in the world of business.

St. Peter's Old Scholars hold the keys to every old boy club in SA. They run the state - ever had a close look at the SACA board?
The Crows actually have very limited St. Peter's connections to be honest (outside of Trigg that is).

In fact I believe they had two dominant seasons - which were also on the back of recruiting a number of footballers to boost their team.
This is something PAC have taken to the extreme in recent years - much to the detriment of their school culture.
