Lynn isn’t what he used to be, but I still have PTSD from a match at the WACA when we had a pretty strong attack and posted a competitive score and then he hit at least ten sixes and made the chase an absolute laugh.

Lynn and McCullum, I'll never forget that game. Chasing ~180 and did it with a few overs to spare.

The power hitting from the old bash brothers that night was so clean you couldn't even be mad.

When it got to the point there was no stopping them I just sat there and enjoyed the spectacle for what it was.

Shamsi had an SA20 contract with MI Cape Town but asked to be released, so he could take up contracts in the ILT20 with Gulf Giants and BBL with Adelaide Strikers. This was eventually agreed to in November 2025.

Shamsi was granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) by Cricket South Africa (CSA) to participate in the ILT20, but was only until 19 December 2025 which was just prior to the SA20 beginning. Further discussions between both parties broke down, so Shamsi took his case to the High Court which was eventually upheld and the High Court directed CSA to extend Shamsi's NOC until the end of the ILT20. CSA then issued an NOC to Shamsi for the entirety of the BBL.

Coops has shown he can bowl 4 tidy overs which gives a lot more flexibility and opening the bowling is a huge bonus.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if the selectors keep Head at the top of the order and slide Connolly into 5/6 in the test team as a bat with his left arm orthodox option, especially with our apparent reluctance to pick a specialist spinner.
