Ok, if there was one player from another club who you would take for us and what we need who would it be???

I DONT WANT PLAYERS LIKE BROWN, PAVLICH, GLASS, COX etc. i want guys that don't really get the recognition that they deserve and perhaps warrant. Players that consistently perform at a level where there are not superstars of the game but is a player in which we would dearly love to have.

For mine it would be Ryan O'Keefe. Just love the way he goes about things and is one player if he is out of contract i would be throwing the book at. Can play on the ball, high HHF, deep in attack and even in the backline as a loose man. Consistently gets his hands on the footy and regularly kicks goals.

Steve Johnson would be my second option.

Good call on O'keefe, get Fisher to model himself on him and get some contested ball and tackle/chase etc

Ryan Griffen - favourite non-Blue. Would complete our midfield.

Justin Sherman - would love his run through the middle.

Ben McKinley - would compliment Fev well.

Trent Cotchin :) - Really like the look of this guy.

Brendan Goddard - would springboard many attacks from Half Back for the Blues.

Yeh Petrie or Bock would be VERY bloody handy. Not so excited about a gun HFF like Murphy or O'Keefe as i'd luv to see both Gibbs and Waite spend more time across HF if we do shore up our backline with a KPP.

1) James Sellar: former Glenelg team mate of Bryce and Ozzie. 1st round bottom aged draft pick in the 2006 Superdraft, 19yo 196cm 95kg pure CHF. Seems he will struggle to get games ahead of McGregor, Hentschel, Jericho, Burton and Tippet as tall forwards.

2) Mitch Brown: Another first rounf draft pick from the 2006 Superdraft, 19yo 194cm 95kg CHF/CHB (altough it seems he will be a CHF while his twin brother Nathan will be a CHB). Seems he will struggle to get games ahead of Lycnh, JK, McKinley, Chad Jones, Hansen (Notte?) as tall forwards. Also would make future Carlton Collingwood clashes more colourful playing on his twin brother -see avatar ;)

if not Mitch then JK, obvious romantic return to Carlton.

If we were going to consider smaller players who play tall as forward options to help out Fev McKinley and Gamble from Geelong look the most promising, but I'd probably want to give Jake Edwards 10 consecutive games this year and see if he can't convince us that he's the man for the job :thumbsu:

JK, seriously. We need a CHF and we'd be best off getting the youngest one we could. Pav, Brown, Riewoldt, Koschitzke and even O'Keeffe don't have more than maybe another 5 or so years left in em. We'll only be mid-dynasty when they're done :D

I'm not sure what to make of Sellar to be honest, came into the champs with big wraps but just seemed to play without any urgency or intensity (appreciate he wasn't 100%)......but if he can't crack a spot in front of McGregor, Jericho etc... then why would we want him??

Like TheGeneral I would genuinely get excited about Roughead rumours.

Roughead - people will wake up to Jarrad being the key to Hawthorn's forwardline and one of the Hawks you should try to stop sometime in the next century.

Agree 100%.

I'd also like Max Rooke from Geelong, certainly just a good ordinary player, but his strength and endevour are first class.

Fev nor him could play at CHF, so he isnt needed dont you think.

How any can you say Roughead wouldn't be needed at Carlton?

Roughead is Franklin's Spalding who made life easier for Sticks and would draw a good opponent away from Fev if they were teammates.

CHF is a misnomer anyway and doesn't really exist any more.

If Hall and O'loughlin and Bradshaw and Brown can play well together, there's no good reason why Fev and Roughead couldn't form a dangerous forwardline.
when has he ever plaed there. He doesnt have the engine or pace to play there i dont think
Roughead has a bigger engine and better pace than Kennedy who is suddenly the flavour of the month and rated higher than Murphy and Judd on BF. :D
