I would assume that the club would get the delisted player to enter the PSD and then if another club picks the player they desire (Tippett for example), they would simply then re-draft their delisted player.

Just one variation on the theme.

Hypothetical situation:

Club A has got a full list after the ND.

Can it then de-list a player(i.e. after the ND) with the express intention of going after a particular player in the PSD?

And what happens if Club A then misses out on that "particular" player?

I'm envisioning a "Tippett" style scenario here.

Just substitute Cal Bartlett for delisted player in this instance

I can't see any reason why not - you can definitely include guys, post ND, and you can definitely take guys off the list who've either walked out or retired.

You're take your chances in the PSD.

Not a question so much as an observation. You would think that the team's average height will jump given we lose only two talls in Retzlaf and Drummond but gain Martin, McKeever, Paparone, Crisp and Close.

Do you still get to change your username once (if you haven't done it before)? Iv'e looked in personal details section and can't find it. (or am I just making this up:confused:)

What exactly are trophy points and how do you get them?

List of trophies (awards kinda) and the number of trophy points associated with them can be found here. They mark various milestones for things. They could also be described as 'meaningless internet points'.

I can't find anything on google.. However does anyone know why GWS draft and list concessions seem twice as good as the Suns? Eg the Suns pretty much only have an expanded list and cap for 4 years to 7 for GWS... GWS also got the mini draft and the ability to poach players for 2 years to the Suns 1year.

I can find what the draft concessions are.... Just not the reasoning behind the differences.

dlanod can probably better answer this, but from memory there was a concern that the GWS zone was weaker.

That was basically it. If you look at who Gold Coast got from their zone (Zac Smith, Charlie Dixon, plus others) the expectation was that the NSW/ACT zone would be less generous. IIRC the GWS concessions were confirmed while Gold Coast was playing in the VFL, so their zone picks consisted most of their team and also looked a lot better than they now do (a fair chunk have since been delisted IIRC).

Thanks dlanod.

I wonder in the wash up in a few years if we'll find out who got the better deal.

Is there a list or can someone briefly explain if there are different infringement cards here?
I got a card once (red from memory) ( and not from the lovely mods here;)) which banned me from the whole BF site for a week. But I have noticed some posters on a yellow card still able to post:confused:
Is a yellow merely a warning card? What are the varying infringements and their associated restrictions?

It changed a while back but I think the basics are that a red card takes away all your privileges whilst a yellow stops you from doing certain things - "liking" posts, starting threads, viewing private boards etc. Like in soccer, 2 yellow cards bump you up to a red too so it is also a last warning type card.

Thanks POBT.
I guess I was just lucky to upset those St Kilda mods to earn a red as my first and only.:D
I could never work out how the yellows were being "punished" while they were able to hang around and post.
Sounds fair to me.:thumbsu:

How long do clubs get to assess a players nominated salary when entering PSD?

Why do people often complain about picking up Karnezis instead of Darling (two talented players who are still a long way from physical maturity) but we never hear complaints about picking up Hooper instead of Swallow (an obvious boom vs bust comparison)?

Because Darling kicked 50 odd goals this year. Patience is a virtue and if we wait I think we could have the better player in Karnezis. Does anyone know for sure if we were even considering Darling.

Probably because we were used to our team recruiting duds in that period. The fact that we complain now means we expect more. It's a good thing IMO.

Because people on here wanted to draft Darling as a fit for us, so there was emotion there when we didn't. I don't think anyone was fixated on Swallow to nearly the same extent as they were on Darling. It's not the draft stuff-up that keeps that chestnut raising its head - it's the emotion that they wanted Darling, the club didn't do right by them, and now they "see" that they were right all along.
