I've just been awarded a "One Year Trophy?
Now, I know I've been around longer than that, so it must be awarded on the basis that it's been one year since my last quality post?
No wonder I'm still a rookie

Could someone please explain: If Tippett wants to go to the Suns and the Suns want him why do the Suns need to give up anything...why don't both parties just wait until the PSD and get him as a "freebie".

Certainly a risk but I think that at the end of trade period if it came down to the PSD then Adelaide could give GWS permission to take him as a second uncontracted player (aka the lions and Brennan) and they could take him in the PSD with pick 1 then. Whether GWS are interested or not is another thing but it would be Adelaide's last hope to get adequate compensation.

At the end of the day though clubs rarely try to screw each other over, they're repeat customers who have to deal with each other on a yearly basis. Doubt GC would want to build a reputation like that, it could come back to bite them in a big way later on.

Most clubs try to be somewhat fair in trade scenarios. Very few situations result in a PSD screwjob. It might be a short term gain but it will probably be revisited upon you in the future. If you've shafted a club before, they may try to shaft you back, or if you are a complete arsehat like Chris Pelchen was at Hawthorn, clubs may just flat out refuse to deal with you. Goodwill has value amongst recruiting managers.

Gold Coast need to be especially careful as they are going to have a fair few Non-QLD players thinking of heading home over the coming years.

Thanks BrownDog...
On the basis of this view, which clubs, if any at the present time are in the "blackbooks" as far as being unfair and unreasonable to deal with. I would assume that Freo fall into that category with us...agreed?

Essendon had a bad trade table reputation under Sheedy.

It was an interesting discussion on 360 about reputation at the trade table. Bomber Thompson danced around the issue of Essendon's trading history but both he and Eade admitted that it was important to be seen as fair and reasonable in trade week.

Mine only post once but I have noticed a lot of others being posted a few times.
I've assumed it has been people copying the tweet's url multiple times because it doesn't immediately display once you hit 'post reply'.

Not your one (that's the first time I've ever seen it not repeated), but I recall it happening with one that I posted, and I thought I had only posted it once.

Ahh, you might be on to something there Bob.

On another topic, has anyone else's 'like' & 'reply' buttons moved from being side by side to 'reply' being under 'like'?

Give it a bash, let me know how you go. I was tripped up by it the first few times I posted tweets so that's why I chalked all dupes up to that.

I post mine correctly with a single link, and occasionally it is doubled. Hit or miss. Sometimes I will see an embedded tweet at one point and it will be normal, then the next time I look at the thread maybe half an hour later it will be doubled. I figured it was just shoddy workmanship from some Super Mod or another

Only showing once, so you're probably onto something Bob, but as Ian suggests there still seems to be bugs in the system.

Nice observation, dlanod. Grim's tweet imbed was single last night for me, but now that you've quoted it, it's doubled for me.

Nice, I'd only noticed it in the quoting post. It looks like it also affects it in the quoted post, which I hadn't noticed (probably because I don't re-read threads, I only jump to unread posts). Grim's was definitely single about five minutes ago before I made my post.
