Rained for about 3mins this morning... humidity approaching 95% hits you like a freight train.

Yesterday was ****ing hot. Got home just after 5 and getting out of the car it felt like stepping into an oven. Warm night too.

Without the sun the humidity is actually OK.

Soooooo, Rogue One was alright. If you compare it to the movies, it fails miserably. If you judge it for what it is, it was decent.

The movie was full of cheese (Vader and the choking line - **** off) which sucks but is very Disney so was always going to be there.

I liked the female lead more in this one than Rey or whatever her name is.

The CGI was great for one of the characters (Tarkin) but really bad for the other one.

Soooooo, Rogue One was alright. If you compare it to the movies, it fails miserably. If you judge it for what it is, it was decent.

The eyes were weird too. But it's crazy, speaking to others they think both were crap, both were brilliant, etc. Funny how the eye works.

Oh it was definitely original. I just don't think it can be compared to the movies. No sith, no Jedi etc etc. It's a story for the extras in the universe. Which is fine, but that's why I don't think it can be compared to the movies. As a stand alone, I thought it was pretty good.

I think it was more the pun. They did such a good job of making him bad ass and then he comes out with puns? Haha come on!

I might need to rewatch but didn't even think he was CGI until I listened to a podcast on the way home (although it obviously makes sense now haha). Thought the other one looked obviously fake. Think either way, the industry still has some work to do with life size CGI.

If you were unaware of the previous films and watched this as the first one then you probably wouldn't. I daresay most would have known it was given the actor that played Tarkin would have died between now and ANH.

Also think saying it can't be compared to "the movies" is a strange way of putting it... It's a movie as well.
