That is also over a 7 year period.

It was an innocent question, but hey, carry on acting like a porkchop.

I answered your question. Not sure what else you wanted to hear.

Finished up RDR II. Amazing game, which is to be expected from Rockstar. That developer knows how to make a quality game.

The epilogue, which lasted just as long as some of the chapters, was exactly what I was hoping would end up happening after chapter 6.

In the end credits there are a whole heap of short scenes whilst the music is playing (you can watch it on YouTube in an 8 minute video, the entirety of the credits last over 35 minutes so you might not want to sit through them). I don’t know if I will end up dipping into the online portion of the game as I haven’t played online in years but I will replay the SP some day. Rockstar deserves all the plaudits coming their way for the game. Probably a Game of the Year winner.

Why you would purge a 60 hour game in the space of 6 days is far beyond me. What an absolute waste.

InB4 “innocent” post.

If you can why not?

If a person finishes the single player of a campaign, playing start to finish, never skipping a single cutscene or dialogue, I have a hard time seeing where the waste is.

There are those who are fully immersed in a game to finish it when it finishes and those who will stretch out a 60 hour game over the course of 2 months so they can say they enjoyed the game. To me it’s more of a waste to play a mission of a game and then spend the next 15 hours “exploring” without delving further into the story. How can you even keep track if the story? I mean hell, there are things that happened in chapter 3 that I have forgotten about and I didn’t explore the scenery.

It’s a waste to me to stop, start, stop, start a story and then hopping online as those people inevitably do to ask people what such and such a thing meant.

And inb4 “what a melt”.

Back in the uni days when I had 60 free hours over 6 days I'd hate to know what I "wasted" it on. Don't get how it's a waste if you enjoyed the 60 hours!

Pretty stupid question though. I'm sure people could ask why anyone of us do any of things we enjoy doing. Personally I'd call lining up for hours in line for a concert I already have tickets for just to make sure I get a particular spot on the floor a waste of time but I know it brings Cruffy great joy so I wouldn't question him about why he does it.

Thank you, JD! I guess we all do things differently. There is no right or wrong way to finish a video and and yes, for those still not sure, I enjoyed the **** out if RDR II. That’s all that should matter.

Some people seem to get pretty defensive when asked a simple question.

Stop white knighting for everyone.

Then he can answer the question and everyone moves on.

I'm sure nearly all the posters on here at some point would have been asked by non-football supporters why we get up at ungodly hours to watch a team from the other side of the world play or what a waste of time that is.

If they ask the question politely, we could answer politely. But “how the **** have you had time to play so much!”, to me, that doesn’t sound like he wanted a straight reply and more a dig at me for playing so much.

So I responded accordingly to the way he asked the question. And then his cowardly “innocent question” response quickly turned into what a waste of a 60 hour game it has been for me.

Weird last couple of days all around.

It's the problem with written communication things always get taken out of context. He may have been saying it in jest but I can also see how you thought it came across that way.

Either way who really gives a :poo: you've managed to play 60 hours of RDR over 6 days I'm bloody jealous more than anything!

Yeah, true. I don’t help the situation either and then called it a cowardly response which isn’t good either. I swear that I am not like this on other forums I am part of, I literally post every day in season on a Baseball forum and can spend a few hours on there most days and I am not like this. I actually understand banter in text on there.

I dont know what it is with BigFooty that brings the worst out in me. An apology is in order to SM and Cruyff and I am not being insincere either.

But if the game is so good wouldn't you want to enjoy it over an extended period, rather than smash it out and then be done with it? It makes no sense to me.

Yeah but at a concert, the atmosphere is a million times better right up the front than at the back etc. I can't really see the comparison.

You definitely took it the wrong way. It was a genuine question in which you got your back up and decided to throw the toys out of the cot.

To complete a 60 hour game in less than a week indicates a lot of time has been dumped into it. And you're an adult aren't you? Genuinely curious as to how you had so much free time.

I played two and half hours last night and it felt like ages.

Two wrongs make a right then hey

To you it is a million times better so you won't understand the comparison. I'm not questioning why you do it, because it matters to you. To me I wouldn't waste hours because the difference is not material

To me, I won’t be done with it as I will replay the game in the future (it’s a digital download so I can’t resell it). I played the game enjoying the story and getting immersed in it from mission to mission, chapter to chapter.

I don’t work at the moment (not from a lack of trying) so at the moment I had the free time. I wake up early on a daily basis (3AM) so I could knock out a few hours, did whatever I would normally do during the day and then a few more hours at night. Then there was the weekend which is pretty much free time for everyone. The hours combine over a 6 day period.

Believe me when I say I didn’t rush the story just to rush it and be done with it. That isn’t what it’s about for me. When you’re unmarried without children, it becomes a bit simpler.

Just wondering, is anyone going to see Bohemian Rhapsody?

I am not that into musical biopics in general, usually they don’t fair well (Jamie Foxx won the Oscar off the back of repeating the same line and swaying from side to side for 2 hours” in Ray) but it sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the better biopics and Rami Malek killed it and could get himself nominated. And who, who has seen it, doesn’t love Freddie Mercury kicking arse at Live Aid anyway?

Random thought: I first saw Rami Malek not as Mr. Robot, in The Pacific, in Until Dawn or as Freddie Mercury but in an episode of “24” about 10 years ago. The guy has been around for a very long time. Happy to see he’s receiving the attention he deserves.

Don't watch it all at once now mate

I probably laughed more than I should have. :D

I like to watch the hourly news in 4x 15 minute blocks over 4 days. Wouldn't want to waste an hour a day with it ;)

Speaking of the news. My dad usually reads what the news is about on the bottom of the screen rather than watching the 2 minute segment. Quite a curious habit.
