Spiders, yeah okay sure they're scary and some can actually kill you so alright

But don't understand basically surrounding a lion, basically fencing it in then have a bunch of people help you shoot it down, not to mention their endangeredness. It's just what a coward does. If you're a man go 1v1 with it. Don't fancy it? Well then maybe don't do it
Exactly. I dont understand what kind of thrill they get from using our much higher intelligence and much greater technology, you know guns and shit. How does that make you feel boss? It's like a grown man beating up on a 6 year old.

How about you put the gun down, have one knife and walk towards that Lion. See how you go mate. It's gutless, cowardice.

Not to mention the fact that Lions are ****ing majestic animals and they are endangered. Plus they are intelligent, they care for young, they have hearts and minds and brains however much littler it is than ours.

It's maybe not the same as say killing an insect. It disgusts me.

Yep agreed. Think I have only seen Argo of the films he has directed but that was magnificent. Looking forward to seeing them.

Argo and The Town are the standouts for me. I think it's in very good hands. Especially with how good he was as Batman in this.

Am hoping the rumours are true and that the solo movie is a bit of a prequel of BvS. Showing why he now goes to the lengths that he does.

Always find discussions like this interesting. Especially with your comment above.

To me, this is where I challenged my own hypocrisy. And realised that farmed animals such as cows, pigs, chickens etc demonstrate the same intelligence and sentience that you describe above.

Just because they may not necessarily be an endangered species, doesn't mean they are deserving of death and suffering for other's usage.

Well apart from the pub feed we have once a month.

The reason we go the $5 feed each day is it's a decent walk from the office, it's cheap and we can get something different everyday.
That is over $1000.

Personally, that's a fair bit to me. Especially just on work lunches.

Each to their own though.

Yeah but I'd spend close to that if I prepared my lunch anyway. Say it costs me $200 more a year than preparing my lunch, I'd prefer to pay that then waste an hour or two every weekend making it. It's only about a day's wage different.

I will never, ever, ever in my life, understand hunting for sports. Hunting for food, sure, for fun, it's just psychopathic. It's like when a little kid plays around with a spider by pulling its legs off one by one
Those kids are the ones that should be put on serial killer watch lists.

Wow! You weren't wrong! So much happening. The revelation from Tom about Harriet, Neely finding out about Tom and that last scene with Thackery. Unbelievable!

That last scene was like WTF, thats just bonkers.

Yeah exactly. Plus it obviously depends on ages etc too.

My dinner meals aren't very expensive as I often eat the same thing two nights in a row

Making my own lunch still costs $4-5 anyway so spending $8-12 on it really doesn't make much of a difference. Plus you add in the time and effort making it on weekends and you really question it's worth.

It's ok for cruffy don't think he'd be lifting a finger in getting those lunches ready anyway

Difference is one is killed for food and the other for bragging rights

not sure if serious and that's how you speak or joking? I respect vegans that go full hog with the crusade and don't sit on leather couches or look into every little detail about where wines are from etc. They'd have a right to compare farming to trophy hunting but us mere mortals are comparing apples and Suzuki Swifts. It's that different!

Definition of needless there is interesting.

Needless in the respect that it's completely unnecessary to eat meat to sustain a healthy way of living. It's a luxury we currently have in the modern world but the production of it devastates the planet and the environment.

At the same time it uses monumental resources that in a more equal world, would be put to a much better and efficient way. ie, the majority of soy, corn, grain etc grown in the world is used to feed farm animals - whilst approx 900 million people on any given day are malnourished and no access to water.

Anyway. A picture can explain it much better than I can.

It's the Yes Man from The Simpsons, thought it would be a funny way to answer your question. Yes I am serious.

The comparison is nowhere as distant as you describe. In both farming and hunting scenarios, neither living creature has provided it's consent to die.

It's chosen for them.

As I said as a vegan I can see how you can compare them. For those who aren't they're nothing alike
