Andre Drummond met with the Kings at the NBA draft combine, where team officials told him he would mesh well with DeMarcus Cousins.
"They told me we both could be interchangeable," Drummond said. "We both can do similar things, and if it worked out, we'd have a good chemistry together."
Drummond averaged 7.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots during his freshman season at Connecticut.
"I'm going to work my tail off on defense, grab a lot of rebounds, block some shots and put some points on the board," Drummond said. "It's going to be tough. I'm going to be making a big transition from college to the NBA. … I'm not saying I'm going to go out there and drop 30 and 15 every game. I'm saying I'm going to go out there and do the best I can."

Maybe we will take him at 5.

Rivers has been all hype. Then he hit that shot, and somehow it made people believe he was worth a Top 10 pick lel.

Thats pretty much why i ask, I've not seen him play at all, there just seems to be a fair amount of hype, mostly due to his dad. Just wanted to know you guys thoughts, given a lot of guys on here watch more college hoops than i have time for :)

Move Klay to the SF perhaps

Curry, Beal, Thompson, Lee, Bogut - thats a good young starting 5

I have doubts whether Beal makes it past the top 4 or 5 picks but

Yeah, that was my thinking with GS mitchzz.

Beal has the talent to be taken higher but I really think the first 5 line up pretty well looking at media reports etc. Thw Wizards won't let MKG or Robinson slide past 3 and will take the one that the Bobcats don't. Barnes would be a great fit for the Cav's and they are high on him. Drummond is an x factor but the Kings are supposed to be keen on him. I think the Kings will take Drummond for sure if he's there.

Blazers from all reports want a pg and Lillard's stocks have been on the rise recently. That leaves GS who will be very happy to get a talent like Beal at 6.

Can't see Portland passing on Beal.
Would have to REALLY like Lillard to take him at 6, especially when he could still be there at 11. Would rather Marshall anyway just personally..
Beal has decided to not work out with Portland though, 'focusing on the top few teams.' Ridiculous move. Top 3 seems set, then if Cavs like Barnes as much as reports suggest, ditto Kings/Drummond then Beal could easily slip through

I wouldn't be suprised if Portland took Beal but Lillard is said to be a guy that would have gone even higher if he was playing in a better conference.

Lillard has also been excelling in the workouts and has been shooting very well. He sounds like a bit of a Jerryd Bayless mk. II to me though. Its amazing how the workouts seem to have such an influence and Marshall coming back from injury wouldn't be helping. Big questions on Marshall's speed/ quickness though and he averaged under 10 ppg so his skillset seems pretty specialised.

Interested to see the vertical jumps, even though they dont mean too much I guess.

All I could find after taking 5 seconds to look, Drummond with a 38-40inch vertical is pretty huge.
Especially when you consider his height and reach. The dude is freakishly athletic and even though he is a huge risk, I would love to see the Kings select him at 5. If he works out just as a defensive specialist and nothing more, the Kings will be set for a decade with Cousins - Drummond front court. That duo would give teams fits for years to come and if Tyreke just get a respectable jumper.....watch out!

Pretty similar to Dwight, has a larger wingspan and is probably a bit taller aswell. HUGE potential. DeMarcus and Drummond would be scary together.

Staying at Michigan

Portland apparently only keen on 4 guys.. Lillard, Leonard, Barnes and MKG
That would mean Lillard and Leonard with 6 and 11. I'll spew if that happens

Austin Rivers looks to have a promise in the late lottery according to SI. Isn't working out for anyone lower placed than Houston (14 & 16).
