How on earth did Levy get a completion bonus for the stadium? It was botched, needed fixing, was way over budget and 6 months late.

The big reason it was over time was largely electrician incompetence. Who on earth secures electrical cables by putting nails through them?!

Brexit added about 25-30% to the cost.
Consider it this way. He’s worked hard since 2003 to secure the stadium upgrade through many phases. 3m for 16 years work is tolerable.

As for the inference being made by the journo that staff are taking pay cuts and he got a bonus. Staff are getting a pay cut in 2020 for a crisis in 2020. As has happened at many other European clubs. Daniel should definitely be taking a haircut to his 2020 salary too.

His message was very pointed imo. Clearly referenced the PFA, PL and LMA to put pressure on for players to do the same. Probably has mo legal grounds under their contracts to automatically dock them, not that they should need to negotiate it.

All players barring academy contracted should already have forgone some and it makes me dislike this group even more. not many fans actually like this group, conspired to get a quality manager sacked and bumble around not giving a s**t. All bar Alderweireld and Davies should be ashamed for not yet having forgone wages.

Good of the Directors to do it, but 20% off his salary means a lot less than 20% off someone on 40k a year.
