No, unless an NDA was signed.so if he had told his mates he was moving to atletico but didnt say/suggest to bet would it be different from saying you're moving to a workplace to your mate?
It is given his privilege which you're ignoring. It's insider trading. You're blind mate.
HahahaNo, unless an NDA was signed.

Was talking about the person changing companies signing an NDA... have you never heard of that before? Standard Gero not knowing anything and jumping to conclusions.Hahaha
Mate asks him about his future and he’s meant to hand him a piece of paper first and say ‘sign this’. What a crock.
my heart bleeds for the betting vultures that his mate made a few quid off them. Fifa can get stuffed, stupid ban
Overruled. He said he was moving, a mate said he was going to lump on, and Trippier said "If you want". What was he meant to do, drive to his mate's house and physically stop him betting?
You do know insider trading isn't a thing in betting.. right?
Trippier is literally only in trouble because of FIFA regulations, not gambling.
When it comes to 'insider trading' betting agencies would void the bets if they had evidence of it, but it's not illegal like actual insider trading is.
Betting companies let you bet on ******* reality TV shows. They would weigh up the risk of allowing particular markets against the return they get from idiot nuffies who lump on anything. And then put the markets up. They can't then cry foul when said risk materialises. Particularly with reality shows when they're pre-recorded. Transfers aren't much better. If you're following certain news outlets or have certain sources you follow you can get transfer news way before a lot of people and make a lot of money off transfers, but they still offer odds because they clearly make a healthy margin on it.
I don't even know what risk there is of spot fixing with Trippier's issue. What's he going to do, deliberately sabotage a transfer and go to another club last minute to get good odds on a move? It's not like a player getting sent off for a betting market.
It’s ok petal, i disregarded your first quote. Claptrap not worth my time. Was talking about the person changing companies signing an NDA... have you never heard of that before? Standard Gero not knowing anything and jumping to conclusions.
So you've never heard of a NDA for someone switching companies before when they have important positions? It’s ok petal, i disregarded your first quote. Claptrap not worth my time.
Keep digging though.
Yes this is the setting for an NDA. A mate asking about Trippier and his future. Bloody hell Brades, use the cranium and think critically. He’s been banned for telling a mate what’s happening in his life. Not his fault betting companies have stupid markets for this type if stuff. So you've never heard of a NDA for someone switching companies before when they have important positions?
I guess clubs prefer it when a player tells everyone they;re moving.. that's why they don't make those big announcement videos.
I never once said that the mate has to sign an NDA. You're making shit up to try some sort of "gotchya" moment like a true RW.Yes this is the setting for an NDA. OverruledYes it's all about the Mum and Dad investors.
Bloody hell mate.
so if he had told his mates he was moving to atletico but didnt say/suggest to bet would it be different from saying you're moving to a workplace to your mate?
If the terms and conditions of your contract specify that you couldn't do it, there would be no difference at all.
Shareholders aren't necessarily rich people you know
Their contracts will specify that they need to comply with FA rules. So just to be clear, do player contracts specify they aren't allowed to tell anyone about a move before it happens? If it does then that's entirely different.
I still don't think he should be accused of telling his friends to bet on his move when the findings of the case couldn't charge him with that.
Their contracts will specify that they need to comply with FA rules.
This is the rule. And I'm asking if the rule is that they can't tell friends that they're about to move to a new club.
